Watched Due Date last night and while it had its moments it was overall slightly disappointing. I think the problem is I always go into a comedy with expectations that are just way too high so Im always let down in the end. It wasnt a terrible movie by any means but it just didnt live up to what I had expected.

Watched Due Date last night and while it had its moments it was overall slightly disappointing. It wasnt a terrible movie by any means but it just didnt live up to what I had expected.

That makes sense. I went into watching this movie with very, very low expectations and ended up being pleasantly surprised.

I know I'm just weird but the I loved the movie and the first time I got on facebook after seeing it I looked at it different. I was looking at the homepage for certain things, and checking out the about us section and various thing I never would of looked at before seeing the movie. It is interesting to see all the drama and behind the scenes conflict that went on during the early years of Facebook.

I did the same thing as far as looking at Facebook differently. I also found myself spending a lot of time on Mark Zuckerberg's Wiki page.

I might just go get it from Redbox again tonight.

Tron. Somewhat cool.....during the first 20 minutes. Then I was bored and actually fell asleep midway through. Only reason I woke up was b/c somebody bumped into me on the way to the bathroom.

Goodfellas. Granted it was on AMC last night and somewhat cleaned up, but had it on while doing other stuff. I still don't get that very ending part. It just never made sense to me.

Liotta is on his front porch retrieving the paper "like any other schmuck".....he narrates.... then cut to Pesci firing a sub-maching gun? What? No clue. I think it would have been better to either just do a straight cut to credits..... or maybe to a cam pan from toe to head on Liotta like they did earlier in the film to show the contrast... but I just don't get the Pesci thing. Just seems sort of random.

Due Date: Thought it was really, really funny. Loved how Downey and Zack G. played off each other the whole movie. Downey's one of my favorites and while I thought he came across as overly mean in some spots in this movie, I thought he was hysterical. And Zack G. was hysterical in the same way he was in The Hangover, which is to say he just spent 90 minutes being really weird. If you didn't like him in The Hangover, you won't like him here. Luckily, I liked him in both movies.

Unstoppable: Solid film. Real entertaining from beginning to end. Thought Denzel and Pine were good together, and I always welcome the presence of Rosario Dawson in any movie. It might've just been because of the trains, but it felt sort of like The Taking of Pelham 123 to me at times, which isn't a bad thing. Both were good movies. Worth a rental, I'd say.

Unstoppable: Great movie. Watched it with the wife last night, and we both loved it. I love movies with the concept of a faceless, emotionless villian, obviously with the train taking that role in this movie. Some GREAT scenes involving the train, and a lot of suspense. I thought that Pine and Denzel were great together.

I can see Chris Pine becoming a household name within a couple years, if he already isn't. Star Trek 2 should get him more exposure. I think he could wind up being one of the big action stars, as he has charisma, much in the way that Bruce Willis did in his earlier movies.

I caught like the last hour of Youth in Revolt at friend's house last night. It was a very weird movie as far as I can tell.

Babe (1995)

Very cute movie. I once tried watched the sequel and found it to be quite horrid. The original is a much better film and very heartwarming. i"m glad I caught it.

Finally got around to watching Inception yesterday and really enjoyed it. Not much to say that hasnt been said a million times over in this thread so I'll just leave it at that but the movie was excellent imo.
