Just read every review besides IGN's and that should talk you out of the game pretty good.

I know all the negatives, but the actual gamer impressions seem to be a lot more positive. I know I will enjoy it, but I don't have the time for anything other than Metal Gear.

Is it better to play ground zeros before picking up phantom pain?

          Whiplash

I think this is the third time I've seen it. J.K. is such a manipulative bastard in this from start to finish. The editing on the drumming scenes is well done, especially on the final scene.

I couldn't believe a movie about drumming was as interesting as this was.

Miles Teller also deserves as much credit for his performance as J.K. Simmons does.

True. It really could have been about any profession and how some people taint it so harshly.

                Annabelle

My gosh... when horror movies go bad they really go bad. I'm one of those people who can get through just about any movie, but this one was so poor in every way. The story was so dumb. The acting was bad. The movie was boring. In no way was I expecting award winning material. I was just catching up on a few movies I recorded when DirecTV was offering a free Starz weekend. This may have been worse than Devil's Due and yet after watching DD, I didn't think I'd ever say that.

                It Follows

Now, the wife and I enjoyed this quite a bit. Different. Creepy. Unnerving. I'm not exactly sure what "it" is or was. I think "it" is a metaphor for something, but I won't spoil it for those that have not seen it yet.

For me, It Follows was a downright terrible movie but I liked Annabelle. It's not as good as the Conjuring but still decent.

                    Anybody seen Minions?

I love the Wile E. Coyote type comedy where there's no dialog as the action itself is the comedy. This appears to be in a similar faction?

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Just saw it. Love the minions, but too much of a good thing is still too much.

Great way to put it. The minions are great but overall this was a pretty disappointing movie. I thought both of the Despicable Me movies were really good, but Minions not so much.

The Devil's Backbone. A good drama/ghost story from earlier in the 2000s from Guerrelmo Del Toro. Lots in common with The Orphanage and Pan's Labyrinth. Not scary, but with a nice sense of dread and a great, tense atmosphere.

Saw a good portion of this at my buddy's. The insults from the instructor were so obscene it was hilarious.

Thought I read that it was kind of a boring movie, but for what I saw it kept me hooked. I'll have to give it a full view. Heard only gold things about it and for some reason I've been watching a bunch of movies that have Miles Teller in them of late.

I really liked it, but at the same time really felt the film-makers hand. I know they must have been like 'how awesome would it be if we made the whole film look like one single shot'. I can appreciate how hard it would be, but I just don't think it's necessary and for me at least it drew attention to itself which isn't a good thing.

Having said that I loved keaton and norton, and actually the entire cast when I think about it was pretty awesome. Norton under the sheets had me laughing out loud in the theatre lol
