Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Finished watching Memento again for the second time, movie is still freaking AMAZING. My goodness is it still striking and intelligent even after multiply viewings.
The scene where he hits the chick and she talks about how she's going to use him to her advantage is still one of the most striking scenes in a movie. The characters though not many are all excellent and the fact that the movie doesn't play like a regular way makes it all the more immersive.
A little synopsis about what the movie is about:
I don't think anything is perfect but this movie is damn near PERFECT in my eyes
9.9/10
Watched The Illusionist (L'illusionniste). Not the Ed Norton movie. This one is the french animated film.
Very silent film. Since the Illusionist travels to different countries to perform his act, he doesn't speak the languages of the natives around him. As a result, he doesn't say much and no one says much to him. Most of the communication is done through actions and it's pretty amazing how much is said without a word.
Excellent animation and artwork."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Hell on Wheels. It's a foreign documentary about the 2003 Tour de France. I'm a mountain biker myself and enjoy the sport of cycling and of course, the Tour, so this was cool to watch. The cinematography was outstanding and I thought the interviews (done with the T-Mobile team which was comprised of mostly German riders) were really well done and gave you a great insight into what these riders go through over the 3-week period of the Tour.Currently Playing:

Re: the primary villian
SpoilerGotta say I'm wasn't crazy about Bacon as the villian at first, but the more I think of it the more I see the choice and his being able to play multiple "roles" and ages.Comment

I watched The Omen remake it was alright but really a pointless remake to be honest. I wouldn't watch it again as I prefer the original by far. Makes you appreciate the original even more. Overall I didn't find it that creepy or scary just a pale imitation of the original."If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockComment
