    Blue Valentine

I really enjoyed this movie, well enjoyed isn't the right word as it was a movie about a breakup. The movie tells the story of a couple, Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams (great chemistry by the way) who are on the journey to a divorce. The film takes you back and forth between present time, and the past, giving you details and events that lead to their dilemma.

While this movie's premise was depressing it was a refreshing film, breaking away from the generic Hollywood fairy tale.

      Brazil

Always heard about how great it was so just went ahead and bought it on Blu-ray today. Its far reaching influence was very clear. Which was a bit of a problem. Though I had never seen it before it felt like I've seen it a million times already. Even if you haven't seen this specific movie I'd say there's a very good chance you've seen the story in some form. Even the central bureaucracy in Futurama for example.

Watched "Just Go With It" yesterday, eh. I know what I'm getting with a Sandler movie, but this one just wasn't very funny.

That pretty much explains how most feel about the film. It's depressing yet entertaining.

And I completely agree about the chemistry between Gosling and Williams. Did you watch the Extra Features?

Pretty good. Not great but pretty good. Can't much get into it without spoilers. Another one of those on for one scene too long movies. Turn it off at 1:52 and be left thinking.

Finally got to see The Town.

Enjoyed it. Really great car chase scene and an intense final confrontation in the film.

The rest was pretty good but I wasn't enamored by it. Really didn't care much for the inner-story, the central plot. Just wanted to see more messed up Charlestown townies doing messed up things.

Watched Invictus last night really good movie and well acted. Matt Damon & Morgan Freeman were great as usual. Even if your not into rugby the story is uplifting and well told as it is about bringing together a divided country with sport.

Finally saw Bridesmaids and enjoyed it. There were something I wasn't crazy about like the main character generally wasn't that likeable and she is much better in the quirky 'bitch' role like in knocked up rather than as a lead imo.

Melissa McCarthy (Molly from Mike & Molly) was pretty hilarious in her butch friend role and pretty much stole any scene she was in.

Not the greatest movie I've ever seen but still a pretty good comedy overall. 7/10

Curse of the Golden Flower. Second time trying to watch this. Took a while to get into it, but started enjoying it.

X-Men: First Class. Pretty good. Felt a lot like The Watchmen for most of the movie. I'd rank it 3rd behind Transformers 3 and Thor.

First person I've heard say that. I can't really feel the connection here, except for the timeline relevancy.

White Irish Drinkers- Decent movie. Set in 1975 Brookyln it follows two Irish-American brothers trying to find a better life. Most of the movie was slow, but the last 20 minutes was great. Stephen Lang did a great job in playing the abusive alcoholic blue-collar father.
