Seeing it for the first time?

Just watched Planet Terror. I love zombie movies, so this was a fun ride. Looked and sounds great on blu ray, despite being processed to look like a cheap 70s movie reel.

Yeah I watched it for the first time. It was quite good. And I would have never wached it if we wouldn't watched it at school.

Watched The Blind Side last night and thought it was absolutely terrible. The book was much better.

I also fail to see how Sandra Bullock won Best Actress over Meryl Streep.

"A Wake in Providence" saw this on starz just doing a channel surf and stumble across this movie. This movie was hilarious especially if you grew up in an Italian family....

No not Planet Terror in school, we have watched horror film at school, but it was that boring Pet Semetary.

La Femme Nikita - so, the first 30 minutes or so are kind of freakin crazy. Nikita is basically a psycho. After she calms down the movie picked up a whole lot for me. Really great movie. Possibly enjoyed it more than Leon.

No not Planet Terror in school, we have watched horror film at school, but it was that boring Pet Semetary.

Sounds like my high school Spanish II class. We would watch random movies students brought to class like Scarface and Man on Fire. I remember once no one had a real movie with them so this Mexican guy popped in a VHS of him and his boys boxing in his backyard.


I re-watched Burn After Reading with my brother the other day. Underrated flick, IMO.

(500) Days of Summer: My borderline unhealthy Zooey Deschanel kick continues.

I LOVED this movie. I'm left wondering why The Blind Side got a Best Picture nom and this didn't. It felt really relatable, and I think that had a lot to do with Gordon-Levitt's performance which was great. The contrast in his performance between happy and miserable was the most remarkable part to me. He played each mood with it's own relatability. When he was happy, you felt "I've been there before" and when he was miserable, you thought the same. Zooey was, well, Zooey, I feel like she's made a career of playing the same character over and over again. Luckily, it's an interesting character, and I feel it was done best in this movie. The "Expectations/Reality" sequence was dynamite and to me the highlight of this movie. It's short, but it's fantastic. I looked at the person I was watching it with and said "whoever wrote this specific scene deserves awards".

I'm buying this tomorrow.

I watched 'The Big Lebowski' the other day after a good three years of having seen it last. Great Movie.

Just finished "The Crazies."

At worst, it's tied for my 2nd favorite recent "zombie" film with 28 Days Later. I'll have to watch it again to see if it holds up enough on the 2nd viewing as Dawn of the Dead did...but holy crap this was a great movie in my opinion.

Timothy Olyphant was great. The premise of having "zombies" that still have brain function was incredibly well done, the main characters were actually...smart (for a 'horror' film, at least).

Toy Story - it had been quite awhile since I had seen the first one, but the dialogue is full of so many puns and zings that I never picked up on as a kid it was like watching it for the first time again. Awesome. Also never realized Joss Whedon was involved.
