Travolta's dialogue in Pelham could have been written by any potty-mouthed adolescent, I thought it was by far the worst part of the movie.

Overall I found it to be vastly inferior to the original.

I didn't say his character was that great, I just heart him haha. I just think that ever since Grease, I have only liked him as a bad-*** villain.

I never saw the original, but again a different director could have really helped out this movie.

Dodgeball: The perfect movie when I'm not looking for anything but stupid laughs.

Pulled a movie marathon last night. Got 5 to discuss.

Transmorphers: 2 words--hot garbage. Worst movie I've seen in a long, long, long time. Not sure if it was supposed to be a spoof of transformers, but it was absolutely terrible. 1/10

Ninja: Decent martial arts action flick. Standard plot in martial arts movies: bad student causes trouble and the good student has to fight them. Had nice visuals and a couple of cool fighting scenes. Definitely worth a look. 7/10

Ninja Assassin: Not as good as ninja, but not completely terrible either. The stylized presentation is either a love or hate thing. Too much CGI for my tastes. IMO, Not worth the $20 price tag it's going for on blu ray. 5.5/10

Rachel Getting Married: Very good drama. Ann Hathaway is solid and very believable as a recovery drug addict. Lots of family tension before they celebrate her sister's wedding. 8/10

Reign over Me: Another very good drama with Don Cheadle and Adam Sandler. Not a big fan of AS, but he delivers here. The night time scenes look great on blu ray. I'd recommend getting this from Hollywood Video's online sale for $7. 8.5/10

Black Dynamite. I thought it started off kinda "meh" but by the end of it I was cracking up.

Watched Avatar one last time in Gold Class 3D last night and this now being the the 4th time seeing it and still loving every second of it and getting goosebumps in some scenes proves just how good the movie is.

Also recently saw Percy Jackson which even though it was aimed at a younger audience was pretty fun. Decent young actors, good CG and a good story from some really good books. Better than Clash of the Titans anyway.

Went to the dollar theater and saw Book of Eli. It was awesome. Denzel always delivers.

See, I had fun with it. There wasn't much to the story at all really, but I'm glad that it wasn't something else. For instance, people were telling me after they would see a trailer that it looked "really scary" and stuff, which I wasn't quite feeling. I didn't want it to be a second half of Tobey Maguire playing games with Jake Gyllenhaal or something.

I think I just liked it because I feel like it is something my mom could actually tolerate, unlike most of my movies (but she's difficult to please).

I watched Serpico (1973) last night. What a great film and boy do I miss that Al Pacino. The man sure could act with the best of em when he was younger. I thought the music at times was a bit too overbearing and some of the set up for the plot in terms of scene structure and length dragged the movie a bit but it was overall a damn fine film.

The Fourth Kind ---- very lame. Don't waste your time. The only thing scary about it was the woman supposedly portraying the psychologist in the raw footage. Freaky looking.

I just saw How To Train Your Dragon and it's up there with Wall-E, Star Trek, and Avatar as one of the best looking movies I've ever seen and it's one of my favorite movies I've seen so far this year. I saw that it was getting good reviews but I was really surprised at how good it was.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

I'm very interested in this movie. It got great reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Is it funny at all? I would like it if the movie was more than just nice to look at.
