    ParaNorman
A boy takes a book into the woods and raises an army of the dead because he used the book wrong. Think I might've seen something like that before but this was still really good. Pretty sure it'd be in my top 5 for the year. Top notch video quality on blu-ray.

I am looking forward to seeing the movie myself at some point.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?

Been lax on this thread over the Holidays. Forgive me for the brevity, but I was on a bit of a buzz for most of these viewings:

Jackie Brown - Firstly, Pam Grier still has it going on in this movie. Some scenes she comes off a little outclassed, but damn if she doesn't know how to take power over of a scene no matter who else is in it. Sid Haig as a judge is simply ridiculous. Overall, I feel like this movie is very understated in overall tone which is probably why is is Tarantino's most underrated film.

          Blazing Saddles -
Classic Mel Brooks. While not as tightly strung together as Young Frankenstein the film is still a hilarious romp through spaghetti westerns filled with Brooks' comedic styling. I've always thought Cleavon Little was cool, but damn if he ain't fly as **** in this.

          There Will Be Blood -
It is a damn good thing DDL is in 99% of the scenes because outside of two other characters nothing else happens. I very much enjoy this movie and it is the ultimate villain tale. Plus, DDL is his usual epic, amazing self in this role.

If you liked HBO's John Adams you will like this movie.
i did a lot of research after the move and while there are a few very minor details that could be wrong, most everything you saw was accurate.

I blind bought Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter on BF and watched it this weekend. I thought that it was going to be cornier than what it was. It was actually really well done, especially the action sequences. The story wasn't bad either. I'm happy with my purchase.

I just watched The Lookout. Joseph Gordon-Levitt was great. Hell of an interesting story too. Glad I decided to check it out.

Nice to hear. I blind bought it during Black Friday.

It's great. Starts off incredibly interesting and gets more generic as it goes on, but it doesn't really hurt the film's value at all.

Keep in mind I saw it one day on FX, so I got a commercial-paced and censored version of the film. I'll have to see it again, or maybe even buy it on Blu-ray if the specs hold up and the value is right.

You should have snagged it on Black Friday, but I know you don't like shopping online. It was $4-5. Tough to beat that.

Yeah, I didn't even consider the film to be honest. Never even knew (much less ran a search to see) if it was on Blu-ray. After all, there are still a dozen or so films I would really like to see on Blu-ray that have yet to hit the market, and probably never will.

Bluray.com is both a helpful and dangerous place for Amazon prices and bargains.

Over the past week, I almost dreaded getting that email from Blu-ray.com's price tracker telling me something met the price level I set. Ended up spending close to $350 on blu-rays since last Monday.
