Difference of opinion I guess. I felt this was one of the most boring movies I've ever seen at a theater. The whole thing just drags and is no where near worth exceeding 2 hours. Even my girlfriend, who never agrees with me on anything entertainment related, was praying for this movie to end about halfway through. I just think Judd allows his wife too much input into his movies. Paul Rudd is still funny but it's kinda starting to wear off a bit.Alabama Crimson Tide

Watching the Dark Knight as we speak. Definitely one of my favorite movies of all time. Best of the trilogy.(although the other two are pretty good as well) Ledgers performance as the Joker is truly amazing. Put that together with great actors like Bale, Freeman, Oldman, Caine, and a director like Nolan, and you get an amazing, fantastic movie.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I had never seen The Girl Next Door (2004) until Tuesday night. It actually wasn't bad. For whatever reason I've found myself drawn towards Rom-Com's where the main character is a dude. Probably because I always wish I was in the guy's shoes getting the girl at the end. Besides "24," I can't say I've watched anything else Elisha Cuthbert has been in. I thought she played her role pretty well but in the scenes where the focus was on her porn job (i.e. the video tape, the Vegas convention, etc.), she looked... uncomfortable. I guess it was just weird seeing her in those scenes.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

In Time
Took me a while to actually come to watch this, but it was a pretty unique concept that they decided to run with during every scene of the film, and it was pretty interesting and cool. Timberlake comes in naturally for me, now. I don't even think of him as a pop artist, though I wouldn't consider him one of the better actors of our generation either. I liked Murphy in this, but his character was kind of shallow when all was said and done, despite the amount of screentime (or lack thereof, depending on how you see it).
For those who really don't know what it's about but have shown interest in seeing it, I'd recommend you jump right into it as opposed to dissecting the trailers and such.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

I agree with this part, this was one of those movies that the less you know about it and the more you go in without expectations the better it'll be. Before I saw this movie all I knew were the stars, the general plot and the fact that it was based on an old Mandrake the Magician comic strip storyline.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Finally watched The Dark Knight Rises yesterday on BluRay. It was wonderful. Lots of luck to whomever has to try to reboot Batman after Nolan's great trilogy. And I doubt Ledger's Joker will ever be matched again for a Batman villain.
TDKR wasn't perfect, but I did love it's tone and story. Bane was really interesting, and I love that actor. But again, Ledger's Joker was nearly an impossible act to follow. Bane's deal was of larger scope, and he was a beast, and he was pretty lucid and intelligent.
LOVED Hathaway's Catwoman. She was fantastic and maximized every scene she was in.
About the endingSpoilerI think it would have been much more impactful to have Bruce go ahead and BE dead. I feel like Caine's moment at the grave site was cheapened by him just 'retiring' instead of being dead. And I liked the notion of him really literally giving everything for the city as it seemed to follow what Bruce was about.
Again, fantastic trilogy. I don't feel any of the three are weak, and TDK was my favorite.GO 'HAWKS!

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Watched Young Adult.
I find it hilarious that Charlize Theron somehow always plays this woman that can't seem to find a man.
In what world is Charlize Theron struggling to find a man?
Anyway, outside of that, I enjoyed the film. I thought the ending was decent but wasn't overly satisfied.
Spoiler
I guess the point is that she realized she had to move on, but it felt as if there were some things she didn't get to accomplish that the film pushed the audience into believing she wanted.
I get that most of those things (not talking about wanting her ex back because that was just a superficial want) weren't needs, but she was lost and had a goal to find herself and someone to share her life.
She finds that someone and kinda just goes back home...without him.
It's definitely very Diablo Cody. I think anyone that expects her films to be like Juno is probably missing what Diablo was hoping to do with Juno. It's almost unfair because I think what Juno became to mainstream diluted what it meant for her as a writer. And because of that her work is unfairly labeled as un-Juno when I think it's very similar."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
