Buried.
Starring Ryan Reynolds.
I have been trying to watch this movie forever in the local theaters.
Finally saw it in on DVD in a redbox and HAD to rent it.
What a great movie.
I cant believe 1.5 hours+ went by so quickly of just him in a coffin.
I highly recommend it.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

RED-Good action movie. Bruce Willis kicking *** never gets old. John Malkovich's character was great. It was predictable but had a couple of cool scenes, I would recommend it.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Memento - I still think this is Nolan's best movie. I don't want to be too redundant, but just a brilliant film all around.

Another night of mind-****ing a couple more people with Inception. That movie will never get old.
I'd say Memento is technically more of a mind-**** (in the sense that you have to kind of retain all that happen in a chronological manner), but Inception leaves more for discussion IMO.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently? Part 1
I think the only problem with showing someone Memento is they don't really know what they're getting into when they're going to watch it. Hopefully they love it so much they would want to watch it again instantly, but some people get turned off by the confusion. I happen to love it. Following is a little more confusing in that you have to pay attention to its time jumps, whereas Memento lets you more easily understand when they occur and what place in time you're in.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently? Part 1
I've watched a couple of movie over the past week or so:
Exam- I'm not as high on it as most people here seem to be. I thought it was an interesting concept but, the ending just didn't do it for me.
The Messenger- I'd recommend this movie on the superb performances of Harrelson and Foster alone. The movie was great in a lot of ways but, I was let down at the end of this one also.
Boot Camp- I saw this movie staring Mila Kunis on Net Flix. It sounded fairly interesting from the Synopsis but, it was just bad. Avoid at all cost.
and lastly
Repo Man- I knew the premise of the movie going in and thought that it was going to be kind of predictable but, I was actually pleasantly surprised.
There was plenty of action and blood and gore throughout. aka, My type of movieMy 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

I saw this for the first time within the last week too. Felt the exact same way. I was more interested in it than I thought I'd be and the end caught me by surprise. I rather enjoyed it. Not sure why the Insight digital schedule had it as a 1-star movie.MLB: Cincinnati Reds
NFL: Cincinnati Bengals
NCAA Hoops: Xavier Musketeers
NCAA Football: Miami Hurricanes
NHL: Calgary Flames

Re: What movies have you seen recently? Part 1
Anyway, I watched it by myself last night and then told my gf about it and now see wants to see it. Which means I'll probably watch it again in the next few days. It's been a long time since I've watched a movie twice within days of each other. But, I really don't mind because I fell like I'll notice more little things with the second viewing. My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: What movies have you seen recently? Part 1
SpoilerDuring the first 30 minutes or so, I actually hopped on OS and just kind of kept the TV on for back ground noise. Then around the 40-45 minute mark things started getting a little better and I started watching again. I still thought the movie was going to be really predictable and it was for awhile. However, during the last 45 minutes the movie really picked up. It had an Old Boy type fight sequence and a Nolan-esque ending so, it really paid off, IMO.Last edited by jeremym480; 02-04-2011, 11:59 PM.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague
