The Pianist (2002)- Adrien Brody did an amazing job and so did the director Roman Polanski. It's an excellent first hand account of of life in in the 1930's/1940's of Jewish people in Poland. Another movie that I can't believe took me so long to watch.

I seen this a few years ago but like you it took me awhile to see it but once I did I thought it was great very well done and acted.

Jackie Brown (1997) I caught this on Netflix instant after seeing it was directed by Quentin Tarantino. The dialogue was great especially from Samuel L. Jackson and so was the retro soundtrack. It was a little long though but still entertaining.

Never saw the 2nd one, but I thought the first one was bad.

I loved the first one but the 2nd was one of the biggest pieces of **** i have ever seen and was a major letdown for me.
I can see why people wouldn't like 2. It was much more corny than the first. But I enjoyed it nonetheless. It kept me entertained. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to a third one it they are going to make it.

              Due Date

Surprisingly entertaining. Not really a laugh-out-loud type of movie for me, but it was enjoyable to watch.

Alice in Wonderland - probably the weirdest Disney movie. Seriously, its essentially like each of the "segments" are the trippy/freaky parts from other Disney movies.

                  "My Soul to Take"

Movie was sort of terrible. I know its Wes Craven coming back from a hiatus, but the movie was meh. It sort of had a lot of "The Nightmare on Elm Street" feel to it. Even the killer making dumb comments like Freddy would.

Even the entire concept was sort of a Nightmare on Elm Street thing. On the movie itself, it had potential to be very good and had a very interesting idea. However the way it was executed was sort of blah. I had to rate it on its potential then actually how it was. Tomorrow i'll watch Paranormal Activity 2, hopefully thats better

                    Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

I know I dismissed this a bit when it first came out but I gotta say Burton and Depp did a bang up job on this movie. It'd definitely more in line with the actual book and I love how Depp gives Willy Wonka this air of menace/slightly crazy vibe. The movie was definitely better than I thought it would be.

That's basically how I felt about the film. Its hard to compare it to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory because how classic that movie has become (despite how B-movie it really is, even with Gene Wilder), but I agree that Burton capture a lot more of the book's atmosphere and themes. Of course nothing compares to actually reading the book.

Finally finished Black Swan. I don't know.... it was like a decent long episode of the Twilight Zone, not intended for children, and mainly for people who dig ballet.

Paranormal Activity 2.....meh the scare factor wasn't there like the first one. It was sort of alright, but never did it even get me to jump. I'm super surprised how people can manage to watch an entire movie filmed as a homemade family video (yes even myself, how did i set through two of these films?)

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. It is probably one of the best animated films ever and probably the third best Batman film.

Better than Under the Red Hood?

Yes, it is. Significantly, and this is coming from someone who also loved Under the Red Hood.

Mask of the Phantasm is just that good. I still own it on VHS.
