Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - So far this is my favorite movie of the series as its a big leap forward in overall film quality and maturity level. Its a lot darker and creepier than the first two films and the three "kids" are definitely the main stars here as the teachers and other side characters are shifted to the back. I felt the pacing in this was a lot better than the first two as the first two had some kind of boring stretches and felt too long, but PoA kept things moving very nicely. The only problem I have is with the time-traveling thing. I understand its a kid's movie, but time-traveling just opens up even more questions than being an easy story mechanic. Other than that, a very good movie.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I noticed a lot of people are watching this recently. Is this just because of WOM recommendation, or is it available on Netflix Instant Stream now or something?
If so, I really want to give this another watch, very soon! It still hasn't validated any sort of $20 Blu-ray purchase for the sake of it not being super rewatchable, but I've been craving to see it again since I first saw it.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Finally watched Bronson yesterday after Beantown(?) recommended it in the Inception thread I think. Anyway, it's been sitting in my queue and I'm trying to watch a movie a night so Bronson was up.
What a crazy guy. Matt Hardy has to be up there with Christian Bale and Johnny Depp as actors that really dive into their characters. The film is more interesting for the portrayal than the history. Engaging nonetheless, but if some kid doesn't watch this and not stand up proclaiming a desire to act in his future then I'd be damned.
Also saw Bad Teacher today. It was funny. That's all.

Do yourself a favor and either read the books or listen to the Audible versions(the guy did a GREAT narration job)
(in my mind...Lisbeth was MUCH hotter)

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Just got done with watching The Adjustment Bureau
I have to admit, I've had the movie but was pretty meh on watching it. Finally got around to seeing it tonight since there was nothing on television to watch. I must say, the movie was pretty good. The concept was very interesting and definitely though provoking.
Good to see Damon in a role that's not The Bourne series or him kicking ***. It was definitely a good role for him. And what can i say about Emily Blunt, shes freaking HOT and played her role well as well.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I started a free month trail of Netflix Tuesday and last night I watched the remake of The Bad News Bears. I thought it had some funny moments. I remember people saying it "sucked" but Billy Bob Thornton was pretty funny.Comment
