Well, it's a tough movie to really watch again, but I think these kinds of films are good to experience that one time and ask yourself what you would do in this situation, how long you would bear lasting up there, etc. The interaction was rather normal, and the situation was rather daunting enough that it was an engaging kind of movie in that regard.

There were a few poor contrivances to make it all unfold, though.

I was turned off by the first 10 minutes of the film. I mean, I am being picky, but to me - if a scene opens in country where english is not the first language, then why in the crap is everyone speaking english and not the native language? To me it's a slap in the face to intellegent movie go'ers - as if to say we are too dumb or lazy to read even the simplest subtitles.... none the less - I give this movie a 3 out of 10.

It shoudl have been called Angry nipples and a gun. Zoe is rocking them thangs for like 50% of the film....

        Awesome.

Still will wait until it's on HBO/Showtime to see it. I do like Zoe however.

          Your rating does not compute.

Watched Apocalypto yesterday. It's a pretty good movie, with awesome visuals. I give it about a 7.5 out of 10.

Watched Star Wars Episode 1 last night for the first time in ages and I had forgotten just how annoying Jar Jar Binks was.

I don't how they managed it but they made an CGI character seem to have terrible acting ability and the little Anakin kid wasn't much better. Such a letdown....

Just out of curiosity I googled Jake Lloyd (little Anakin) and apparently he's in college at Columbia now studying film. I don't think we'll be seeing him on the big screen again any time soon by the looks of it:

He probably doesn't need to. I'm sure he got a decent enough pay-day for that role.

I doubt it would have been THAT much. I mean he was plucked from obscurity with probably thousands auditioning for it and was only in the one movie so I doubt he would have been paid crazy money. I could be (am usually are) wrong though....

Going to watch episode 2 tonight.

He's been striking out since Signs. I enjoyed Unbreakable and Signs was a good little film, too.

Signs was good up until the twist. I thought it did an excellent job of building suspense (first real good look at the aliens with the home video is a great example), but the twist was just really lame and kind of made you wonder why these aliens would come to earth in the first place.

Yeah Signs had some suspenseful moments but was overall pretty forgettable imo and unbreakable and everything since has been crap I thought.

I've been working my way through the Star Wars movies in order and I can really see why George Lucas decided to make the 4-6th movies first as they are by far the better stories. The movies start pretty ordinary then each one seems like an improvement until you hit 4, 5 and 6 then they are all totally awesome. Maybe I'm just being nostalgic but for me it goes like this:

                            Episode 1: 6/10
                            Episode 2: 7/10
                            Episode 3: 8/10
                            Episode 4: 9/10
                            Episode 5: 9.5/10
                            Episode 6: 9.5/10

I enjoyed the first 2 movies but this was seemed a bit ridiculous and over the line.
                              Pretty blu-ray though.

To answer what everyone is wondering...yes I tried and it kinda sorta does for a while.

You are being very kind to the first 2 episodes. Phantom Menace is still one of my all-time disappointments. Clone Wars was OK, but the Anakin-Padme stuff was really bad. I thought Episode 3 was good.

Return of the Jedi would get an 8 from me; the comedy bits are really forced and not that funny.

I still watch the original trilogy at least twice a year. I'm debating on the Blu-Ray, only because of my disdain for the first two episodes.
