    Batman: Year One

it was quite faithful to the original source material i'll give them that but man....There was just something missing there. This thing was technically pretty good but there was no soul to it. I thought the voice acting was pretty bad for the most part especially the guy doing Batman/Bruce Wayne. Gordon's portrayal was up and down at best and Sarah Essen sounded more bored than infatuated/in love with Gordon. On the positive side some of the supporting players were portrayed well like Commissioner Loeb and Flass. The VAs for those characters gave a lot of personality to them whereas the main characters felt very flat to me.

I guess i'd call this pretty middling. One of the more disappointing DCU projects i've seen.

Let Me In - It is weird how similar this movie is to Let The Right One In, but how completely different it feels in the end. I really enjoyed it. It felt a little bit more tense than the original, not to mention those wonderful car scenes that were genuinely creepy in a predator type of way. Both are great films and even though I was hesitant of an American remake, I think its good enough to warrant its existence.

I really like the film as well and recently picked it up on blu-ray for $9.99. I never did see the original but I am interested to see the comparison between the two.

Bloodsport. Love 80s and 90s action movies. JCVD at his best. Hadn't watched this in a while.

I watched this last weekend and enjoyed it as well. Without a doubt his best movie....

I have 'Assassination Games' sitting there are home but I'm afraid that anything JCVD has done since the 90's really sucks hard so I haven't been in a rush to watch it.

Seems like I find this on late night every other week and find myself watching at least 15 or 20 minutes every time. LOL at Ogre from revenge of the Nerds. I like the early round fights with the Sumo and monkey man and others. Always wanted a video game made out of this back in the day.........

I think I can recite the entire dialogue of Bloodsport. That movie's awesome.

                  Hesher

JGL can officially do no wrong for me. While the movie isn't really good (mostly okay), I like how JGL becomes another character in this film.

The only drawback is feeling like Hesher should have been played by someone with a bit more edge. It felt like having Justin Timberlake play John McClane.

The kid is great. Wonderful acting. And Natalie Portman finds a way to look beautiful even in large nerdy glasses.

Can't forget Rainn Wilson. Nice dramatic role for him as a depressed father.

Also the story is touching without feeling cheesy. Hesher has an analogy for everything and his final analogy rings the truest. He has one nut.

I officially need to make a JGL movie list because apparently I'm behind. There's about 5 I can name off the top of my head I want to see.

I can only think of 50/50 but I'm sure I'm forgetting others.

                            Never heard of Stop-Loss.

Damn. Now I feel as crappy as you.

Stop-Loss is unheard of/unwatched because it stars Ryan Phillipe and Channing Tatum.

                              It's an underrated movie.
