Man on a Ledge 7.8 I expected the entire movie to be about his ledge but it had a bit more behind it, still nothing special though. Actually think this is Sam's better roles over Terminator and The Clash of the Titans sequels.
I was a big fan of Contraband, but then again Mark Wahlberg is my favorite actor.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?

I've been really off when it comes to reporting new movies I've seen (or movies which I have seen for the first time). I can't even review movies which I hadn't seen in some time, let alone remember all of them. The few that I remember seeing are...

      The Hunger Games
      Project X
      Jackass: The Movie

But I know there were a couple more.

      EDIT: Ah, yes...

        War Horse

I thought it was a very good movie and like AuburnAlumni said, if you like animals, you'll probably tear up a few times during it. It didn't have as much action as I had expected, but that didn't pull away from the story.

I just watched "The Patriot" (Mel Gibson version) for the first time ever the other night. Same with "Goodfellas" this morning. I liked both of them a lot. I've been trying to make it a point to DVR movies on Encore, HBO, Showtime, HD Movie, etc., that have come out over the last 20 years or so that are good, or popular, that I just have never seen before.

Went out with my wife last night and saw Titanic 3-D, and I think we're going to see American Reunion tonight.

Tactical Force. Typical WWE brand action flick starring Stone Cold. Unbelievable plot, subpar acting and decent action sequences. Didn't care for the surprise "twist" near the end.

Blitz. Again, typical Jason Statham action movie. This was definitely more violent than usual. The bad guy stole the show--nice performance.

FF 3: Tokyo Drift. Loved it. One of my favorite movies and 2nd favorite of the franchise behind Fast 5. Lots of cars, girls and racing.

I hadn't seen the film in awhile so when I came across the dvd I picked it up. Nice little fun film.

Yes, it is. I remember being in something like 5th grade at a sleepover with some classmates and we waited until my friend's parents went to bed to turn on HBO. "Mischief" happened to be the movie we watched. Ah...the Kelly Preston mammar...er...memories.

I enjoyed Kidulthood and Adulthood, so I just watched Anuvahood thinking it was a continuation of the series. I was disappointed to find out that Noel Clark didn't have anything to do with this one. The movie was watchable but it was far from being good. It felt like a British ripoff of Friday. There were a few scenes that I thought were funny, but overall it was just alright.

The GF and I watched Man on a Ledge last night. It was a pretty decent movie overall and definitely had way more to do than just a guy on a ledge. I liked that the story kept a bit of an air of mystery in that it didn't explain everything in an obvious manner. My GF was a little confused about it at first because of that but I caught on to the plot almost from the start.

I only wish Ed Harris' part was more meaty rather than being one note but other than that it was a decent flick.

                            I give this a 3.5 out of 5

BTW that Hitler's Daughter flick I watched a while ago? pure schlock and the ending was one of the most unsatisfactory endings to anything i've seen in a LOOONG time. Still I like crap sometimes

                              Friends With Benefits

Pretty okay film. The title says it all, and the outcome is all but expected... but Timberlake and Kunis are two good looking, relatively young actors who can fill the void for two hours while appearing to live out the same kinds of lives that we do on an everyday basis. You pray that they won't be with anyone else.

Is No Strings Attached a similar kind of movie?

Sherlock Holmes 2 Game A Game of Shadows-8.7

The movie started out very well and then somewhat slow but picked right back up. The Robert is amazing as Sherlock, he plays the role so well, it sort of reminds of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow. Both characters so Ionic in their own way.

Having his arch nemesis James Moriarty was awesome, someone who could go toe to toe with Holmes on an intellectual level was awesome. Yet I felt like he could of been done better. The overall story wasn't the most creative thing ever but it was fine.

I just hope that if there's a Third one, they give Moriarty a bit more thought.
