Watched Blackfish on Netflix last night. It's the documentary on Tilikum, the orca at Sea World, and how/why he has killed multiple humans in his life.

It was very well done, but it was kind of tough to watch at times, seeing those beautiful and incredibly intelligent animals living their lives in concrete pools.

Some "spoilers" below (I don't know if you can "spoil" a documentary, but just in case people don't want to know about any specific scenes in the doc)

        Spoiler

        I recommend watching it.

I really enjoyed 2 Guns and watched Don Jon last night and didnt really care for it much, wont spoil it but I still am not even 100% sure what the point of the entire movie was in the end.

The other movies have been put on the backburner as tonight is Fruitvale Station and tomorrow is now Runner Runner, which looks terrible but I watch virtually every movie released so figured Id take a flier on it regardless.

            BURN

It's a documentary about the Detroit Fire Department and the struggles they are encountering in the wake of the collapse of the city of Detroit.
Very good film about something that I find utterly disgusting.(yes...because it hits home for me)
How a city in the U.S. can be "allowed" to let it's people down......have it's workers(I'm sorry, but especially emergency personnel) try and perform their duties under dangerous(and illegal IMO) is beyond me.
Eye opening to say the least.

Since the film...and the city going bankrupt.....Detroit has been allowed to pay the F.D. pensions at 16 cents on the dollar.
            Criminal.
(I won't go any further because it would definitely be edging into T.O.S. territory)

I watched Fruitvale Station last night. Its one of those films where u either hate it or like it. Its definitely not for everyone. Me personally I enjoyed it. I know the director was trying to make Oscar Grant this good hearted guy and I don't know how he was really like but after seeing this I can't help but feel for the guy.

Been catching up on a lot of movies:

Star Trek: Into The Darkness/ No surprise, highly recommended!

Pacific Rim/ Predictable but awesome special effects and a good watch.

Oblivion/ I don't know how I continue to enjoy Tom Cruise's movies when he's pretty much the same character in every movie but I do, highly recommended for any sci-fi nut!

Never seen Star Trek but the other 2 are in my overrated list. Didn't like them at all.

I thought Oblivion had good promise but didn't quite deliver the goods

Star Trek: Into Darkness is quite good IMO.

Yeah it definitely didn't deliver. After awhile the drones just started getting annoying for me.

                          Stay.

Just watched it. Very interesting. It's the kind of movie that I feel as though I couldn't adequately explain to someone else without potentially ruining the experience for them.

If you do decide to watch it, I recommend you go in blind, so to speak, and just watch the film without checking anything about it beforehand.

Starring Ewan McGregor and Ryan Gosling, with a few other names as well. It's available for viewing on HBOGo right now.

I watched Full Metal Jacket again today but if I went very in depth about the movie I think I'd break quite a few TOS.

It's so wrong to laugh so hard at some of the lines in that movie. It's a masterpiece of a film.

An annual staple in our household. This movie's been out for nearly 25 years and I've seen it at least that many times, and yet, I still find myself laughing at all of the jokes, and I'll even catch a line or two that I may have missed in previous viewings. Chevy Chase is at his peak in this movie, and Randy Quaid's performance is very strong. An absolute must-watch for those that enjoy Christmas-themed movies.
