    (man, that pic is huge).
The quality of the film making of the LOTR trilogy is better. The image, sound, and video quality of the Hobbit trilogy is much better. The LOTR was the better popcorn movies. For The Hobbit movies, you will need to leave the room to avoid the predictable plot.

Best scene from The Hobbit: TBOTFA.

I think there was too much of a veiled comedic element in the Hobbit trilogy, especially the woods wizard, whatever his name is.

You mean, Radagast the Brown. You need a little comedy in the mix. This movie has a lot scenes in it, that has a lot of intense violence. You need: a scene or 2 of comedy in there, to keep the random audience member from complaining too much during the movie, and keeping it a PG-13 rating. That's a short answer to your query.

I wasn't asking a question about his name....not really caring all that much. I have no problem with comedic elements in serious movies as that would mimic real life. However, his element was pretty corny/silly. Crossed-eyed, the voice.... just the whole presentation seemed out of place. (also, you gotta stop posting pictures that would cover my living room wall... no one is gonna see them).

I'll keep that in mind. Back on topic, the intention was to: throw in things from the actual source material, confuse the audience, and increase the awareness of the author's work. There are hours of: complaints about this movie. I'd like to remain, clear of that.

I don't buy the "confuse the audience" angle. But, so much for that conversation.

But it came in 2nd in the box office. And that's all that counts.

One of the reviews on RT said that watching that movie is like biting into an old, brown banana.

It's too bad because I really like Kevin James. But this is a classic case of "the original was average at best...why make a sequel?"

Pretty easy answer, it made almost 10 times its production budget.

I asked earlier how in the world this got the green light. Apparently, people actually made it through the first one. I lasted about 25 minutes before turning it off.
