Let me continue with this streak of bad movies watched by mentioning "The Dilemma". On the surface....seems ok. You got Vaughn, and I understand some people may not like him. Kevin James. Expecting some King of Queen-esque type presentation. And it's a Ron Howard film. Almost a guarantee to mix a good formula no matter what or who is involved.
This couldn't have sucked more. Even Vaughn didn't really get to show off the slick tongue or the cool, older guy dance moves. And I'm starting to think that Kevin James really needs to stay away from the big screen... and this is coming from a huge KOQ's fan. He was just not believable as an engine design genius and really should stay away from dramatic scenes. And the only thing Ron Howard about this movie was that he put his brother in it again. Lastly, Queen Latifah (sp?, though not too concerned), just, just no.
On the other side, a brilliant movie that I let slip by these many years was The Terminal. Just never got around to watching it when it first came out and then it fell off the radar. That was a mistake. And you wouldn't have thought it would have come from Spielberg. It's actually amazing to look at Tom Hanks in Bachelor Party and think of all of the great movies with which he's been involved and the breadth of them as well.
