Alexander Outside of Rosario Dawson getting naked this movie was a complete waste of time. I guess because Colin Farrell is Irish everyone else from Greece had to have an Irish accent.

LOL...I have the final director's cut version on DVD and there were interesting parts (Rosario being the MOST interesting as you commented), but it just never latched onto me. 'Troy' is about as loosey-goosey as you can get with history (and the myths), but it was more compelling and epic than 'Alexander'.

I think Alexander himself was just too big for Colin; we needed someone with twice Colin's charisma because Alexander had that in spades.

For recent sword-and-sandal epics I prefer the aforementioned 'Troy' and definitely the Directors' Cut of 'Kingdom of Heaven'. That movie was excellent, and Bloom handled business well in that. Great cast...and direction/production.

And yes, of course, the Director's Cut of 'Gladiator' too.

Did the directors cut of Kingdom of Heaven add anything of value over the standard release? I have the standard on bluray and honestly wasnt even aware there was a directors cut of the movie so now you got me curious.

Yes, it's 190 minutes as opposed to 144 minutes, and IMO all of the extra scenes really add to this film. Makes for an even grander epic, with several good character moments. I highly recommend this cut if you like the regular cut even mildly.

Watched The Boondock Saints for the first time several days ago. It's not a good movie, but dammit it is entertaining.

Yeah. Like Dan mentioned, a few scenes in the Director's Cut really make the story make more sense. Especially the bit where

Captain America 2. Man, it was a fun ride. Easy recommendation. Just wish I had known to stay for BOTH after-the-credits scenes.

Anchorman 2 was outrageous, ridiculous, and "shark-jumping"...I enjoyed the heck out of it.

Captain America The Winter Soldier is the best non-Avengers Marvel movie. 8/10.

Glad you enjoyed it but I hated that movie. Most disappointing sequel I've seen in awhile.

Just saw it yesterday. They tried too hard. Some of the other big movies to come out recently that weren't comedies were funnier.
