Theres a backstory I never knew about casey affleck. I guess a few women have accused him and his co workers of sexual harassment on a few of his movie sets.

Here's a mind-blowing statistic:

He has reviewed 131 films that would have a 90+% RT rating without his involved. Of those films, he has given 70 of them negative ratings. That's over half of those films! Probably the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen.

I am probably posting this in the wrong place, and for that I apologize in advance. I can't remember if there is an Amazon thread, I searched and didn't see one but it might be there right in front of me.

If you have Prime, or Amazon Video, or whatever it is called, there is a documentary called Gleason, about Steve Gleason the former New Orleans Saints player (who guy blocked the punt after Katrina). It is, without a doubt, the most honest and disturbingly powerful movie I have seen in a year. The move captures everything from when he starts to get sick and every step of the process there-after and they show you everything, they show you intimidate conversations between him and his wife and you see real people in real life struggling with a real horrible and tragic disease. They show you everything. It's profoundly impactful.

I might sound like a wuss but I cried multiple times. Some scenes are just astoundingly potent. As fathers, and sons, and husbands, and just human beings, there are so many things to get out of this film.

Crying in reference to human tragedy has nothing to do with being a wuss. If anything it means you have greater empathy and understand the value of life and the human condition more than others. If anything it's a strength...it's an attribute. We laugh at funny things. We get angry at unfairness. And we cry at tragedy. In light of what you said.... I doubt I could watch it at present.

Wolves. Decent drama throughout. Some real good sports scenes, but the ending made it.

Same. Saw it a second time last night.

I'm not a horror fan by any means but this is one of the better movies I've seen recently and there's a lot of layers to digest. We probably can't discuss it in depth here though.
