How does True Romance rate? That's probably the only major movie I haven't seen from Tarantino.

My top list would be (1) Pulp Fiction, (2) Jackie Brown, (3) Inglorious Bastards, (4) Kill Bill(s), (5) Reservoir Dogs, (6) Django Unchained

Jackie Brown is a clear number 2 for me.

I love True Romance. Slater was great in it. And Gary Oldman, Christpher Walken, Dennis Hopper and Brad Pitt were scene stealers!!!

        A definite must watch.

Bad Mom's spent a little bit of money to make a lot of money so there has to be a sequel.

Baby Driver and Spider-Man on back-to-back days. Enjoyed both, but BD more since I'm starting to get burned out on comic book movies.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?

Gonna go MCU crazy soon lol. Planned watches all in the next few weeks:
              Ironman
              Ironman 2
              Captain America First Avenger
              Ironman 3
              Captain America Winter Soldier
              Guardians of the Galaxy
              Avengers Age of Ultron
              Captain America Civil War
              Guardians of the Galaxy 2
              Spiderman Homecoming
I don't care for Hulk,Thor,Antman,Doctor Strange and I saw the first Avengers recently, so I'm skipping all those. Outside of the next Avengers movie, I don't think there's really anything else I'd be interested in until 2019(Antman,Thor are among the other movies coming out within the next year), so after this, probably won't see any of these again until the next big wave in 2019.

Going In Style. First part was pretty good. Christopher Lloyd was actually sad to watch. Not as good as the original.

Baby Driver. The music totally made this. Otherwise, it would have been just alright.

                      The Big Sick

It is a rollercoaster ride of emotions filled with genuine heart every step. This never felt predictable, though it did feel maybe ten minutes too long. This film clearly has three distinct acts; they won't tell you when they are, but you'll know them when you see them. It's like if Linklater took his Before Sunrise/Sunset/Midnight trilogy and made them into one movie where each "film" was a 40-minute act, that's what you would see here (not that the stories are at all similar to The Big Sick).

The kind of wit Kumail has is right up my alley, so both his character and his script plays very entertainingly, with near-perfect timing and delivery. I feel I was laughing more than the rest of my audience; maybe they were unsure what was supposed to be humorous and what wasn't, while everything for me was black-and-white. His character often states when he is joking or sarcastic to not offend others, but I'm already cracking up at that point. It's great that it let me shed tears as well. Best blend of comedy and drama I've felt since 50/50.

The only negative I had turned into a positive by the end of the film, and it was that Ray Romano and Holly Hunter, though brilliantly performed, had too much star power for their role in the plot and felt more like a distraction. When I discovered that they were more main characters than they were side characters, I became more accepting of it... however if there were characters I would cut time out of, they would be the ones. So you can see that I am kind of back to square one on that note. I guess I'd rather see good performances above anything else, so I'll go ahead and say the casting was fine.

I am appreciative of the story this film told me with its mature themes, and I recommend you see this.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest - Upon reviewing you realize that it's one of those rare movies that does not have a wasted scene. Every expression, every line, every interchange is completely necessary. Was fun watching those now well known actors play their roles.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - The only thing I like is including Bart Crouch Jr. at the beginning rather than springing him on us at the end like the book did. The rest of the movie feels choppy and sped up.

Ron is still a ****ing imbecile.

Ralph Fiennes is incredible in his limited screen-time, however.

                            LOGAN

I watched Logan last night. Wow. What a powerful and utterly brilliant film. Most certainly the most adult, brutal and outright honest superhero movie ever put on film. This is my favorite superhero film because it just really hits you in the gut and pulls no punches. Oh yeah and it has insane, just ridiculously brutal action..

It's sort of hard to explain how a comic book/hero movie can be "realistic" but this one is exactly that.

This movie deals with issues most comic book based films never would even attempt to address...growing old, being "washed up", alcoholism, deflection, fear of death, the idea of maybe death is a release via suicide, fear that you're not good enough and the overall theme that that maybe you really don't matter anymore and maybe you never even really did matter.. Really powerful stuff..

This isn't a movie about a hero saving the day, it's a movie about people just trying to save themselves. And yes I actually got a bit emotional in a few spots in this movie, and yes, I'm not ashamed to say I nearly shed a tear near the end. Just an amazing experience.

As soon as the show concluded I ordered the 4K UHD version from Amazon.
More comic based films like this please. Yes I know this is R-Rated but it still did over 600 million dollars so I think that's a "respectable" amount. The kids don't get to have all the fun.

The 4K UHD version will be here Saturday and plan to rewatch it with the wife who has never seen it.

Pilgrimage Tom Holland and Jon Bernthal (the new Punisher). Interesting enough ride until the ending. Too abrupt and a let down the way it played out.
