It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I haven't seen the movie yet but I watched the trailer for "Yesterday" Should be available for rent soon. Looks good if you're a Beatles fan.

Ad Astra - pace is a bit slow, but it is a more reflective / introspective type of movie. The space travel was rushed (like flying in space ships is as simple as hopping in your car). BUT, a good movie and Brad Pitt was solid. My wife and I enjoyed it.

Spiderman Far From Home. I see they had to make a lot of references back to Stark/Iron Man and the Avengers. Wasn't crazy about a lot of this. Jake G. as the villain didn't do it for me and I really like him as an actor. The first battle scene was very well done and mind boggling .. so well coordinated. The concept of the story wasn't that bad and had to be incredible to pull off the effects of the effects. But overall this felt like a movie for kids. Not a fan of the new MJ ... her personality leaves a lot to be desired. The comics' MJ was sexy and sassy .... this isn't even close.

Didn't pay attention to the last name. They're calling her "MJ". Regardless, the play off of the first set of movies with him meeting "MJ" is roughly the same storyline and it just doesn't work for me. It still seems to be largely a kids' movie versus an all audiences Marvel movie.

If you watched Homecoming, you'd know her name is Michelle.

I did watch Homecoming (Keaton was great) .... they're still making the tie in. Mary Jane or Michelle or Myrna or Marilyn or Madison or Margaret. Not working for me. It's a kids movie. Moving right along.

I Spit on Your Grave III: Vengeance Is Mine

I thought that there are only two movies I am not aware that a third installation has been released back in 2015.

Major disappointment. I didn't like this even a little bit. A total mess with no direction. It felt like a series of short scenes that could have been re-arranged in any order and it wouldn't have effected the story.

Outside of one, maybe two, jump scares, it is not scary or terrifying.

It's also at least 45 minutes too long. You think it's over three times, but no, it refused to end.

The drop off in quality, plot.. everything... from Part One to Part Two was extremely disappointing.

I could see the case being made for Homecoming as a kid's movie, but Far From Home dealt with some fairly heavy topics and themes that I wouldn't expect a kid to pick up on. Those were the apparent and main focuses of the story, too. A young adult movie? Sure. It's a Marvel movie after all. But kids? LOL. OK.

I know I'm probably offending the Peter Tinglers around here (I keed.... I keed) by saying that.... but I didn't see the "heavy" here. Maybe a junior high school level movie.

And did you really like Gyllenhal in that role? I thought it was another case of too big of an actor fulfilling a hero/villain role. So far, at least in the Spider-Man "series", Molina as Doc Ock filled the bill completely imo. Recognizable, but not an A lister.... pulled the character off well.

Not offending here. That was one of my peeves with the film as well. Honestly, I agree with your points apart from Gyllenhal and calling it a kid's movie. I very much agree with your feelings about Iron Man being shoe-horned into Spider-Man's neighborhood. He's basically stepped into Uncle Ben's place.

Anyway, I thought Gyllenhal was great and easily one of the better performances for a Marvel villain.
