Jamie Foxx blame on the alcohol wasn't a hit? Anyways I still don't buy the notion that people didn't know what autotune was prior to Wayne and Kanye using it, T-pain was on so many hit records using it that people started to take notice. Did Wayne and Kanye possibly help enhance autotune in terms of popularity? yeah, probaly so.. But you have to ask yourself this question, did they possibly contribute to people getting tired of it as well? Possibly so. I never found it to be that great anyway (I've come to accept tpain using it since he sounds bad imo without), and I know Kanye and Wayne contributed it becoming an annoyance to me.

You and Jay-Z can continue to say that those three should be the only ones to use it, I just strongly disagree, but to each his own.
I didnt say they should be the only ones to use it...Im giving my opinion to why Jay excluded them cuz thats what you asked....

Jaime's song aint going to sell his whole album like lolli pop did, alot of radio/club play he's going to get tho...

I meant to say half decent....He's no R kelly but he dont sound like Mase when he sung neither...

Tpain, wayne, kanye all use the effect dfferently and they dont sound alike....I swear Ive heard number of records where I thought Tpain was singing on it, guess what? He wasnt on the record....

Anyways Im not defending anyone or anything because I get inspired by all types of music....

Its just easy to come in here and say "oh, Jay dissin auto tune thats thats crazy, song is wack" nah I like to make agruments/debates....

I posed the same question to you, why listen to Kanye and Lil Wayne using autotune when you have T-pain? People have a different way and sound of using it, its that simple. People were making garbage demos talking about the same thing over and over again with or without autotune. Its just the nature of rap music. D.O.A will not stop that fact.
im talking about unsigned artist, A&R's are picky....

And like I said above, there are signed artist who are making a record that sound like something tpain would do....beside wayne and kanye no one sound different....

And I'm telling you why I think that it isn't right for him to say that those three are the only that should be able to use it when all of them have their share of bad songs with it, and also they contributed to so many people being tired of it as is.

Of course "Blame it" wasn't a hit if you go by "lollipop" standards, but it still peaked at number two on the billboard top singles charts, and the song has over a million downloads. So no it wasn't a hit of lollipop standards, but if you're looking in the grand scope of things, it was a hit by any artist standards.

I don't think Ron Brows sound anything like Kanye, T-pain or wayne, so by that definition, he should be able to use it also. I didn't call the song wack, I just said I thought that it could have been better, and that I didn't like the fact that he gave certain people a pass because he apparently has some type of relationship with them or by your definition, its because they had a ability to make a hit record out of using it (still wouldn't a make a song less terrible even if it was considered a hit).

Ron Browz in all of his wack glory sounds completely different from T-pain and others that you've mentioned. I know people intentional try to make a T-pain record sometimes, but I can find several tracks where an unsigned artist sounds nothing like T-pain or any other artist in the mainstream.
