That's funny, I have been working with PC/MS for years and it's just lame. I still work on PC everyday at work, and now when I'm home I'm in computer heaven.

I can't stand articles like that. They don't actually fairly compare the two, they are just trying to attack the big guy.

That's why I dislike both the companies' commercials...I totally understand the pros/cons for Macs and PC's, but the commercials (on both sides) just make pretty dumb/annoying comments.

yikes, a 2007 article. Some of those are funny, looks like broad band just works on a PC , 2 mouse buttons Superior search (mac is soo much better in this but it's a 07 article and I didn't have mac then)

Re: Apple can't stand the MS heat

                4 - Two mouse buttons
but a firing squad is too lenient for the imbecile who decided that pressing Ctrl and left-click was a better out-of-the-box solution than a single press of the right button.

                9 - Superior search facilities
Our counterparts over at MacUser swear blind that the Macintosh Finder is just as good as Windows Explorer. Yet even after five major releases of Mac OS X, it lacks many features that Windows power users take for granted, such as resizing windows from any corner or edge, using cut and paste to move files around, and renaming files from within a file requester. It doesn’t even offer a working “maximise window” button. If you just want a computer that looks pretty then the Finder might suit you, but if you actually want to manipulate files then Windows Explorer wins hands down.

                29 - A Mac’s delete key doesn’t delete
No, really! Click on a file in Mac OS X’s equivalent of Windows Explorer. Now, press the delete key. Nothing will happen. A logical, intuitive OS? Is it hell. What you have to do is press the Apple and backspace keys together, or drag the file to the trash can. What a big fat load of rubbish!

Wait... I thought stuff like this is why Mac OS was supposed to be SO AMAZING! You really can't copy and paste files?

14 - The CD-ROM has an eject button
Want to take the DVD out of your Mac’s disc drive before it shuts down? Go on then, press the eject button. Hang about, there’s no effing button on the disc drive! No, it’s far more sensible to put the eject button on the keyboard and rely on the operating system to spit out your disc. And what happens on those occasions when the Mac refuses to open the disc drawer? “If you can’t get it to eject, then just hold down the mouse button next time you reboot,” says one of our MacUser colleagues. Brilliant.

                31 - PCs are greener
Apple is currently bottom of the pile in Greenpeace’s Green Electronics Guide rankings. Greenpeace claims the company “scores badly on almost all criteria”, including the use of hazardous chemicals, product take back and recycling.

                Macs are causing global warming.

Windows guys had way more convincing reasons. I stopped caring about what the Apple article said when I read "Lameness Free."

I don't really care either way but those reasons are pretty much the same as "lameness" or complaining about lights that are put on by other companies. Here's a more recent one(although it's about vista and os x)http://blogs.computerworld.com/five_...beats_mac_os_x

You're just being a sheep, when you have a Mac in front of you price doesn't matter.

apparently it does to a lot of people. Just like BMW > Ford + $$$ to a lot of people.

The writer lists it as a reason and, in my opinion, windows is neat and contained for system settings. I think Windows is pretty simple to set up so that doesn't make Mac's better to me.

And no. I don't think "people without computer knowledge" would like neat and contained systems settings. Reason being "people without computer knowledge" don't mess with that stuff anyway. Using the students as an example, they have school provided tech support that does EVERYTHING for them. They don't care that the system settings are neat and contained because they will never mess with them. Same goes for alot of people that own computers. They'll never touch that section. Maybe it'll be something they learn about, but you can be taught the same thing just as easy with a PC.

My grandmother recently got a computer. She wanted something the check e-mail and go on the internet. She'll NEVER touch the system settings. She'd never use any of the programs on a Mac or PC other than the internet and email.

Should I have told her to get a Mac? I set her up with a VERY basic computer. I spent less than $350. Buying a Mac wouldn't do anything for her but make her spend too much and waste equipment and money. In her situation a Mac isn't better.

I don't get the whole this is better than that argument over Mac's and PC's.
For some people Mac's are Better. And for some PC's.
