COOGR - you are assuming that the questions they aren't answering that they're leaving open to our interpretation are going to be minor ones and chances are they won't be. Before you're so comfortable with them not answering questions you should consider that there may be a lot of large, important questions that are 'left open to interpretation'.

This is just one of the reasons I have faith its just the small things that will be unanswered. From the article...

"There's a lot of little questions that unfortunately we just don't have time to answer in the amount of time that we have left," co-creator Cuse told the uber-fans.

ASB37 - you're right, I shouldn't worry until the show is over. But it sounds to me that the writers are already setting themselves up for us all to be upset after the show is over. I think that's what bothers me most, the tone seems to be a pre-emptive strike to the audience that they recognize that we're going to be unhappy..and that's not a good thing.

I think my take tends to be optimistic because I've watched their recent interviews on the net or tv and tried to avoid what is in print. Cuse, Lindeloff, Fox, etc are all very confident that viewers will like the ending to Lost. Not everything will be answered, but they say the important things will be. The small things simply don't matter in the grand scheme of it all.

Ha... I remember this same type of attitude before the Season 3 (or was it 4?) finale. "The writers don't know what they're doing... they're not answering questions..." Then BOOM! Flash forward is revealed and everyone is back on board.

I'm hoping we'll have more revelations such as that one. I love reading the reactions to them.

Agreed. The flash-forward was an epic tv moment (the second half of S3 was epic IMO). I still remember my immediate reaction of confusion to HOLY SH*T when it dawned on me it was a flash-forward. It was amazing how different that episode was watching it back the second time when you realized it was showing the future instead of the past.

How about you let them tell THEIR story and then see what they did or didn't answer at the conclusion of it. I love talking about possible theories for the show, I think it's great. I just don't understand saying how the writers have no idea what they are doing and saying they won't talk about the show afterwards is any indication of that. Do you want Damon and Carlton to have a giant auditorium full of people and have a Q and A?

They said a long time ago that they'd answer all the questions that mattered to the characters. And we already got answers to some of the stuff people are complaining about. The food drop happen because it didn't come in on the right coordinates, for example.

A little different though Pared between ending a season and ending a series. Actually completely different.

The point is, you have no idea what's in store. Similar to the Sopranos, some will probably like it and some will hate it. But there's plenty of things you've enjoyed that I'm sure could be talked about as having plot-holes.

This stuff is for entertainment, not disbelief. It's kinda like watching Spiderman and saying, "No way he can stick to walls, get outta here."

Why don't you just watch it and enjoy the ride. Enjoy the story THEY are telling YOU. Not the story you want to hear.

I have very high hopes for this episode, both in terms of "question answering", and storytelling. Ben centric episodes always seem to be epic, and I hope tonight holds true to that.
