SpoilerShould've listened to Jack. And yeah this had been a great episode. Still shocked that they actually killed Sun and Jin off. Kate could be next.I will always, always be a Jets fan. But trust me it hurts.Comment

Outside of the last 15 mins, I was bored.
This season has been a disappointment.
So are we going to get a back story on Dogen and his hippie friend (I'm pretty sure the answer is no)?Last edited by VanCitySportsGuy; 05-04-2010, 11:05 PM.Comment

Re: *** Lost: Season 6 (Final Season) ***
I still don't understand the thought process of some characters. Their motivation is questionable and it seems that some people just want to be heroes without being heroes.
Charlie is a major example of this. He did not need to sacrifice his life to achieve his goal. There was never any indication that his death meant they would be saved from the Island. He just thought he was supposed to die so he locks himself up, though he and Desmond would have had ample time to save each other.
Now, Sayid and his Rambo-esque dive into another room. You mean to tell me that with 3 minutes on the clock, no one, NO ONE, thought that throwing the bomb into another room would perhaps save them all? And then maybe they could just swim out of the damn submarine?
Come on, that's just bad writing.
It's sad to see one of my favorite characters go and the only person he ever wanted to be with join him in death. And then to have them go because of bad writing...bleh. Not amused. I was sad and now I'm disappointed with how it was done.
Jin grew a lot on this show. Probably the best developed character in the series. Everyone else is still fighting over the same crap, while Jin realized what he wanted in life and that's how they do him.
I really miss the effective cliff hangers. Episodes just end without any big revelations."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I mean compare that scene with the scene from the freighter and its like there were completely different writers.
Also the gun fight was horrible, theres 5 of them in the trees shooting and jack is standing up in plainview firing a handgun WTF?
I can't wait for the finale because I think they are really gonna bring it. Maybe some of these cut corners are because of the focus being on the finale.Last edited by USF11; 05-04-2010, 11:29 PM."Good music transcends all physical limits, it's more then something you hear, it's something that you feel, when the author, experience, and passion is real" - Murs (And this is for)Comment

Re: *** Lost: Season 6 (Final Season) ***
I understand the need to have certain characters lined up for the final two hours, but don't get rid of them just because you think it'll be cool. There was no reason to kill Jin and Sun. None! They did nothing to receive that poor outcome.
It was as if they decided: "We are going to kill them off because it'll make fans: 1. know that we can do whatever we want which makes no one safe (meaning Kate is a potential goner) and 2. very, very sad because we know they really liked these people.
Then someone said: "Ok, that's great...now, how do we do it?" And from there it was just a brainstorm of stupidity because there was no real reason to get rid of them. Same for Sayid, really. What was that whole attempt? We were fed a story about him being taken over by this darkness and rather than see that play out, he just decides to blow himself up?
Get the heck out of here with that nonsense. I'm extremely disappointed with how this was all handled."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

S6 has been a major disappointment, I didn't even feel like watching tonight. At this point I can only hope that the finale is half way decent, since we already know that a lot of questions will be left unanswered I'm not getting my hopes up."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: *** Lost: Season 6 (Final Season) ***
Couldn't agree more. Kate wanted to go back up and get Claire after she'd been shot in the shoulder and the sub submerged. SMH. Who the hell would ever say that? Kate's character is so ****ing annoying with the wannabe-hero act at the most inopportune time. The thought process is so wack for so many characters lately. Sun and Jin, probably a 25% chance they're actually dead. It was a moving scene, yes, but not even one of the Top 5 scenes from the series and didn't save another boring ep.

Going back to my main issue with this series all along, THE CHARACTERS DONT TALK ENOUGH. These people are with the freaking SMOKE MONSTER dont you think instead of Sawyer saying we are going to hit them hard, etc dont you think the conversation would be more like "hey smokey go clear out all those people and then we go and take the sub".Comment
