Re: *** Lost: Season 6 (Final Season) ***
What? When was that ever said?
Think about it, the last scene of Richard's episode is him seeing richard talk to his wife through Hurley, and then has a smug look on his face. He knows that Hurley talks to the dead. So he manipulates him(common theme with smokie) into thinking he is Michael(who died on the island). You can tell by Michael's demeanour in the episode. And then when Hurley walks into the camp, there is that smirk again.
He can turn into whoever he wants. He turned into Ben's daughter to get him to kill Jacob. He turned into christian, he turned into Ecko's brother, and he DID turn into Michael.
Michael didn't tell Hurley to go the camp, anyway. He just pointed out Locke's camp to him and told him to tell Libby he was sorry. I don't see why you think that was the smoke monster.Michigan WolverinesChicago White SoxComment

I just read the transcript. That doesn't happen. Hurley asks him where Locke's camp is and he points it out. The only thing Michael told him to do was to blow up the Black Rock.Michigan WolverinesChicago White SoxComment

That was the real Michael, but dead."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I'll have to rewatch that part.
What episode was it that said he can't change? I mean it's kind of strange to think that Jacob planned for his death when he was "hoping he was wrong about Linus" killing him.Comment

Re: *** Lost: Season 6 (Final Season) ***
If thats the case it's kind of stupid to have Locke watch Hurley talk to dead people and not capitalize on it at all. Doesn't he tell Hurley to go to Locke's camp, and then Hurley ask's where it is? I mean why would Hurley want to take everyone to the place where he is previously convinced is the unsafest place on the island?
I'll have to rewatch that part.

That was an awesome episode. Desmond is so suave.Michigan WolverinesChicago White SoxComment

So MIB is Smokey, Jack is the one, any water will do, and MIB doesn't really want to leave, but wants to destory the island.
Sideways flashes are what would have happened had Jacob not thrown MIB in the light.Comment

Re: *** Lost: Season 6 (Final Season) ***
Locke went there because Richard was yelling for him telling him he would go with him. He did that right before Hurley got there. Locke was smirking because he knew he was late, and that is how MIB's personality is. Everything is no sweat.
That was an awesome episode. Desmond is so suave.
But yeah that was an awesome episode. FINALLY we know what the smoke monster wants.
Anyone else think Linus is playing the smoke monster?Comment

I would like an explanation on what that light source is without having to just make assumptions. I don't think we'll get it - maybe, who knows - but, I'd like one.
Also, what is the deal with Desmond being the fail safe? I'm guessing someone smarter than me understands this."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: *** Lost: Season 6 (Final Season) ***
maybe the way to destroy the island is with electromagnetic forces, and since he can survive it he can turn off a switch. It definitely has something to do with electromagnetism.Comment

Re: *** Lost: Season 6 (Final Season) ***
Desmond can withstand the electromagnetism, so I'm guessing that is the light, which is the heart of the island. He might be the only one who can actually enter the light.Comment
