I'm assuming there is more than one compass? How would it go from the grave to Danko? Also - why wouldn't Ando all of a sudden remember Hiro showing up and making sure he got the slushie on him if Hiro "changed" things?

      Re: Heroes Season 4

I thought that season 4 was pretty bad and I hated the finale as it made no sense.

However, given what they had to work with, I really enjoyed the start of this season. Just like in season one, characters like Peter, Parkman, Claire, Hiro, etc. are living normal lives (they actually have jobs and go to school!!)... however, they are also incorporating their abilities into their everyday lives rather than running around trying to save the world for four years. I love it!

As far as the villains go, I love them too. They had to clean up the mess they made in season 4 and I thought they did a good job. The carnies are a cool group. "The compass" seems like an interesting plot device that has me interested", this is the first time I've ever cared about any of Ali Larter's characters (Tracy), and like I said given what they had to work with I actually enjoy "Nathan" discovering Sylar's abilities, while the real "Sylar" is lurking in Parkman's subconscious. Sylar is hands down the best character on the show and had one of his best episodes yet torturing Parkman. Their chemistry is great.

Why does everyone keep saying "I thought so and so aboutSeason 4"?? Season 4 just started!

Unless you guys mean "Volume 4," which was the second half of Season 3.

          Details, schmetails.

I meant S3. It was so bad I tried to forget it and lost track of which season it was.

It wasn't too bad. At least I it has peaked my interest again. The new badies are decent.

            Spoiler

Hiro should just bury Ando in a coffin though. Ando annoys me for some reason.

Do you think Masi Oka ever says "Do I have to scream Yata again?" I get it, it's his signature line stolen. Even Chun Li didn't say it that often.

I thought last night's episode was really interesting. Not sure where they are going with HRG and Claire but Peter and the Irish gang have me intrigued. Parkman and Sylar were good to watch as well (at least for me).

Yeah...Sylar/Parkman's storyline is making me not absolutely hate Parkman. He actually has a point in the show and his storyline is interesting, though that is probably because Sylar is the best character on the show.

Peter and the carnies will be interesting as well.

                No Hiro/Ando = always a good episode.

That was a nice break. I'm sure it's getting time to bring Mohinder back in though. He was great in the first year but he's almost pointless now.

Edit: I think this was a good read as to ways to improve Heroes (written before the season).

No Mohinder, and no comic relief from Ando/Hiro is a good thing.

It was a good episode last night. The stories were engaging, except maybe Claire's and they kept it simple to 3 storylines. It was interesting how the deaf woman's story tied into Peter's life. It was a very subtle way to introduce a new character and it left a little mystery to her when it was over.

I agree w. that link that Rudy posted, IMO the biggest thing Heros needs right now is a great villain. I loved the early battles between Peter (when he had all his powers) and Sylar. Now it's like a bunch of people with abilities just wondering around trying to find their purpose in life. Not much of your typical good vs evil going on, though I'm sure tatoo boy and his merry band of circus freaks will change that shortly.

Good episode - and that's how they used to do it when it was good. No need to jam everyone into an episode. Focus on 2-3 stories at once and the show shines. Let each story breathe.

The stuff with Sylar and Parkman is awesome.

I don't know what it is, but I am loving this season. Peter and Sylar/Parkman especially.

Though it's early, Heroes has really done a complete 360 and brought it back to season 1 greatness! I'm back to that "I can't wait for next week" feel that has been lacking for awhile (rather than being just something to watch when I get around to it).

                          Hopefully they keep it up.

I watched the lunch scene with Claire, that girl that played Mia on Californication, and Noah and I thought the interaction was great. I wanted to keep watching but I'm committed to my comedy block on CBS.

I watched the episode that's available on Netflix instant watches. Reminded me of Season 1. I might be back on board.

After getting a really good episode last week they give us one of the worst episodes of Heroes I've ever seen. Nothing but filler and crap. Absolutely nothing to advance the story other than the last 30 seconds. They turned HRG into a wuss and somehow found a way to make him uninteresting. Hiro is just a waste of space. Honestly, if you never watched this episode you would miss absolutely nothing other than the last 30 seconds. My desire to watch this show is at an all time low after tonight.
