 Re: Flash Forward

I've never watched a show that took a mid season break that was a complete three months.

Most full year shows have sporadic shows from December through February, but three full months with no episodes? Especially when new shows will be starting in January.

If you only have half a year of episodes, start in January.Comment

 Re: Flash Forward

It's only going to happen even more with ratings suffering across television and networks wanting to take advantage of May sweeps.

I agree that this was a good episode of Flash Forward. This was one of the better episodes of the early season thus far. We learned a lot."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Yeah, I will probably watch them all again too, because that is a long break.

 Re: Flash Forward

The show runner decided it was best to wait untl March to air the rest of the episodes. They could have come back earlier but there would be a lot of weeks where you get 2 new episodes and than a repeat. He felt the show was better running straight through without any repeats.

The show has lost millions of viewers since the pilot. ABC should air a ton of FF commericals during Lost and put on a 1hr recap episode before the new episode in March.Comment

 Re: Flash Forward

Otherwise it'd just be repeats. Repeats don't perform well on serialized dramas. Those wanting to keep up with the show will. This shouldn't hurt their base audience. The last couple of episodes were absolutely amazing.I've never watched a show that took a mid season break that was a complete three months.

 Re: Flash Forward

Still going to watch it. Don't really like the idea of a second flash forward. Makes me worry that it'll be a writing cop out in the future. But, we'll see."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
