    Re: Paranormal Activity

I hope they film Paranormal Activity 2 exactly like they filmed Paranormal Activity, only different people. It's just Paranormal Activity: Another Group's Story. We'll get an introduction from them documentary style for believability purposes, and crap goes haywire. I'd prefer the production costs don't increase and that they don't do any major tie-ins to the first one so that this becomes more of a "movie" than it ever should have been.

Man that was pretty scary to me. When that thing grabs her leg? Oh yeah, I nearly crapped myself.

I can see the plot being on a group of people or a couple sneak into the house 4 years later after hearing the news and they bring a camcorder and upon trespassing into the house where PA took place they are haunted.

It's not the house that's causing this, I don't know how many people think that. I'm not saying you're thinking that (maybe you're thinking it lingered around until someone else came), but it's those posts where people are saying, "Why don't they just leave the house?" Uh, it's spelled out clearly that it's been following her since she was eight years old, and that leaving the house would not help at all. It has zilch to do with the house.

I know that I meant maybe Katie is still in the house and then she haunts them. Because now the demon is in Katie. I wasn't saying it was the house that was haunted but Katie could still be in the house. And some stupid young people might think it would be cool to go to the house and Katie is still there and then she haunts them. I know the demon has haunted her in 3 different houses and since she was 8 so it obvisouly isnt the house and even the psychic said leaving wont help. Just throwing up an idea on the sequel.

Yeah, I understand what you're saying. I just took part of what you said, and it reminded me of what other people say, people that are unable to comprehend one of the most easily comprehensive movies ever. I mean they literally tell you right there that leaving the house does no good, so I don't know what they're thinking, saying "Micah is so stupid for not leaving, blah blah blah."

Yeah I get what your saying. A lot of the bashing of this movie comes from people not understanding it and they think the house is haunted or a simple locked door will stop the demon lol.

part of that though is because web sites don't have it right, look on rottentomatoes.com - it says "a haunted house" which is incorrect...it's "a haunted person"

i've heard houses aren't haunted, only people are, but i disagree as I've lived in a house that was haunted before and once I moved the haunting stopped

Well, they haunt the people within the house.

You are aware that it is a fictional movie, correct?

Duly noted, but there have been witness accounts of such paranormal activity (no pun intended), whether true or false. My mom claims she saw a UFO as a kid, and she is of the most honest mothers out there. I have no reason not to believe her. Maybe she didn't know what it was, maybe she was suffering mass hysteria, but she saw something that shouldn't have been there. This mockumentary wasn't based on any true events or anything, but it is a basis of past documented events.

The other reason to make note of it is because they're making a sequel. We have no idea what road the sequel will go down, but it's important to find out the "rules" that this demon creates or is bound by, and what kinds of intentions it will have in the sequel and what it can do. Just because it's fictional doesn't mean these topics can't be discussed at large anyway.

Leaving the house would have been the most obvious thing to do when the activity was worsening rapidly. Being in a public place with a bunch of other people, I doubt the girl would be able to be dragged around like she was in her own house. Plus the ghost seemed real scared of confrontation and pussed out whenever the dude ran after it until the very end, so with a large group of people, you best believe it would be the smartest decision. I would have gone somewhere else and stayed iwht a bunch of people until I met with the demonologizzzt.

I was always wondering what would happen if she would be with a large group of people. That is, be it with her one friend that visited that one day (and called later in that one alternate ending) or with an even larger group. Would they all experience some scary ****-storm where the demon would just terrorize all of them to death? It seems like it wasn't really a huge fan of publicity.

But I feel like if they decided to leave for somewhere, a possessed Katie would just make something happen as they're in their car, like getting in a wreck or something. I can just believe the psychic and say that leaving would have done nothing.

I wonder if that other guy could have helped out though. What was his name? Johan something? Too bad they didn't call him earlier.
