The lady at Verizon told me my Droid X will ship on the 27th, called yesterday and they gave me the tracking number........ Should be here Monday night by about 7:00

My upgrade is coming in October. It will be between the Samsung E p i c or the HTC Evo for me, unless another beastly Android phone comes out by then.

For the Evo, battery is the biggest drawback for me. I'm using my phone nonstop every day, between listening to music, messaging, and browsing the web. The BB Curve, known for its battery life, stands up well to my usage but still ends up at 30% by 5PM.

For the E p i c (SMH @ the censor), I've had bad experiences with Samsung phones. Plus their take on Android (TouchWiz) pales in comparison to Sense UI. But the GPU and screen on the thing blow the Evo out of the water, not to mention the slide out keyboard. Appears to do everything the Evo can (except maybe the kickstand), so I'm leaning towards the E p i c. Just hoping battery life isn't an issue.

i don't like Samsung phones. Battery has never been an issue for me because even with my blackberry, I have a car charger and I keep a microUSB cable at work so I always top of my phone after lunch.

Touchwiz just took a huge dump on on htc sense UI and OS4. That shiz was off the chain.....Made me go woe.......They took multi-tasking to a whole other level.

Very nice video. However, just like in our discussion of the HP Slate, this is simply a concept video that was very well designed and put together as opposed to real world performance.

Most companies are known for doing this and not meeting expectations. Check out this video by Nokia doing the same thing:

Make sure you turn off your speakers. It's obviously flame-bait, but you get the point.

Basically, don't buy into these concept videos. It's a bullshot video. They're awesome to watch but when you get the device it rarely performs like these videos.

Battery isn't that big an issue after the last OTA update and if you're into rooting your phone its even better.....I can go about 25+ hours on my phone without charging and I use it alot.

I highly recommend the app MeCanto. Basically, you download their windows application and direct it to where you store your music. It then uploads it to their servers and allows you to access all your music from any computer, or any phone with their mobile app. It's a great alternative for those who may have a ####load of music like me. It requires you make an account on their website, and like I said, downloading their pc application makes the uploading a lot easier, but it's completely free.

I originally had the Storm 2 which I soon took back tol Verizon for a Droid. I really like it much better. Simple, quick,and easy to use.

Good call. People should stay away from the Storm phones by RIM in general.... they're not that great.
