I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
It's a bad *** device. Solid build, beautiful screen. The 3D hurts your eyes a bit when watching videos or recorded material but its much cooler than given credit for by "reviewers". Lightning quick. I'm coming from a Pre so seeing how smooth it is is amazing to me. Haven't experienced any problems yet. I'm just so overwhelmed. I don't know where to begin at all, lol.
I would definitely use my upgrade on it, if I were you. Hell....I did.
I'm trying to get basic things down, and FB isn't pushing notifications to me, but otherwise its pretty darn cool.Comment

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
I have it, It's a beast of a phone, Gingerbread is great, and Sense 3.0 is awesome, there is virtually zero lag on this phone. Spec wise it has a dual core processor and the space for apps is great as well. I highly recommend this phoneComment

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
Is there a reason my phone isn't lighting up to show a text message that just came in when the screen is off? I'm not talking about the LED light. I'm talking lighting up then going back off. The only time I can see a text message coming in is if my phone is up and open and I'm doing something else.Comment

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
Verizon users, what droid phone would you reccomend? I'm not getting the X2, That's a major no. I'm considering the Thunderblot or bailing and getting the iPhone."Okay, here's the story. I've been off Sense for a while (on AOSP) but I don't recall those SMS notifications waking up the phone on HTC's stock messaging app.

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
Try GoSMS or Handcent. They have a popup that wakes up the phone and also allows you to read it without having to go into the messaging app.

My wife has the charge. Battery life is decent. It compares very favorably over the Thunderbolt as far as battery life.Comment

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
Still have my Evo 4g. I'm passing on the new 3D and hopefully the Evo 4G+ comes to the States. Just flashed the Synergy rom. The Devs have packed so many elements of Sense 3.0 into it it's amazing what these guys can do. I've been leaning towards getting an iPhone whenever it comes to Sprint but I may have to get another high-end Android phone."Never trust a big butt and a smile."-Ricky Bell

I personally am not a fan of the Thunderbolt or the Charge but if I had to upgrade now I'd probably go with the Bolt.Comment

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
Unless you're dying for or in a position that you have to get a new phone now, my advice would be to wait until August/September. The Bionic (hopefully) should be out by then along with something better than the current 4G phones (maybe the SGS2) Also, it sounds like there will be a new iPhone coming around that time too.
