I also don't think it's been confirmed that they're releasing 2.1 on the Droid but I could be wrong. I thought that OS was for the Nexus One. There is another system update for the Droid later this month, but so far there hasn't been much news to it. Hopefully it is the 2.1 upgrade.. that would be sweet!
I've been reading that Droid will receive 2.1 on Jan 22nd.

It's up to the manufacturer as to how fast they upgrade.

Ok, about 10 minutes ago I plugged my Droid in to charge and it said it was at 70%. I just walked by and notice my message light was red and checked my screen and it said the battery was at 5%. Has this happened to anyone else?

That battery thing hasn't happened to me before...

Just downloaded Swype, I gotta say I think it's god awful. It's probably too early for me to give it a serious impression but it seems to me that it would take just as long to "swype" as it would to type.

I don't find the on screen keyboard to be that bad, nor the hard keyboard either though.

I might Jump ship to verizon because for the month of December to today which is 1-3-10 I might have a record of getting call fails with my iPhone 3gs. It's really bad now for some reason I don't get why the service has been getting worse. ( had AT&T all the generation iPhones )

The motorola droid looks so awesome might gave to pick that puppy up!

Ok, the Nexus One coming to Verizon in spring will probably get my business. That's a sweet phone.

It is pretty sweet. I like that the Droid has the keyboard (never fully gotten used to the virtual keyboards), but the Nexus One is gonna be another top notch Android phone.

I'm starting to think that Android, with the right hardware, could push out the iPhone a bit. The apps are lacking, but that just needs time for devs to push out more. A lot of iPhone users hate AT&T, but there's never been a quality enough smartphone from other companies until now (IMO).

I really can't wait for Google to update the media player for Android...it'd be nice to have something that could sync, or at least be more functional. That's the biggest discrepancy between Android and the iPhone.

You know, I got one of these phones and it is amazing... Amazing phone, good apps (that I've seen thus far), and good potential, I think. I'd love to create an app for this but I have no idea where to start... I guess I'll have to figure something out.

I plan to do the same on Friday, I'm already with them, and my contract expired in December, so I might as well. They're the cheapest option around in my area, aside from Cricket and..yeah I'm not goin with Cricket.

Yeah, for T-Mobile users this is a no brainer...last I read Sprint/Verizon won't get the Nexus One since they're on different types of networks
