Makes sense. It sounds way better to be a Droid rather than random new Motorola phone with completely dumb name. People think "awesome phone" when they think "Droid" so why not...

After flipping between phones for a while, I'm pretty satisfied with the Droid X. I'm not sure how the Galaxy S' are in person but if they are similar to the Incredible and suck in direct sunlight, then I would stick with the X.

With the 4.3 inch display, widget locker and LauncherPro, this phone is pretty much tailored perfectly for how I'd want it to be out of the box. The new swipe gestures in ProLauncher are awesome.

I have the bottom bar set with Gmail-SMS-App Drawer-Dialer One-Dolphin Browser with a couple boxes set to launch twitter, favorite apps folder and music with one simple swipe up. It's incredible how sweet it is. I plan on donating to the developer just for how great his app is and the fact that it's still a free download.

The galaxy s phones are much better in sunlight than phones with a regular amoled screen, such as the incredible. Compared to amoled, super amoled has a 20% brighter screen, 80% less sunlight reflection and
20% reduced power consumption. It is very similar to lcd in terms of sunlight visibility, if very slightly worse.

love launcherpro so much I upgraded to launcherpro plus. you can check out the website for the plus additions.

I just got me a Droid X

I couldn't be happier it was very hard to find. Switched from a iPhone 3GS and AT&T (worst phone company ever)

damn this phone is ridiclously fast i cant wait to see what 2.2 can do! i heard its very polished..... anyone know some great apps to download? like for sports , finance , games? thanks

I also like National Football Post. Now that Verizon has the NFL deal, using the NFL Mobile is pretty cool. You can stream the NFL Network to your phone.

I have the NFL app from Verizon, but not VCast...you have to pay 10 bucks a month for that, right?

It's not really vcast, it (seemingly) uses the vcast framework but isn't the vcast service, I don't think you can even get vcast on an android phone.

Yes you can get Vcast on an android phone, they started that back in June of this year.

Well, I stand corrected (and have zero idea why anyone would subscribe to that), but the NFL mobile app doesn't require a vcast subscription.

I know a lot of truckers and other people that be on the road a lot that have Vcast. I had Vcast when I use to work 16 hour days.

is it weird to feel like my Droid X has a personality of its own? the ring tones and the roboty ways make it seem like i have a transformer by my hand? i am loving this phone more and more love the theme to it..... cant wait for my offical 2.2 update!!!!!!!
