 Re: Official Android Discussion Thread

 Re: Official Android Discussion Thread

So apparently T-Mobile is going to be offering a "heavy data and texting" 4G prepaid plan starting on October 16th. The plan is $30/month and it includes unlimited text, data (capped at 5GB) and 100 minutes. Everyminute after the alloted 100 is $.10/min

Apparently the deal is going to be offered through T-Mobile and Wal-Mart stores.

This is an interesting plan. I dont talk that much in a month, maybe 300-400 minutes and I am paying $91/mth currently. I've got the G2 right now, and if this plan is available for any android 3g/4g phone as it appears, it could save me quite a bit each month. Add in the possibilities of using a VOIP client to talk using that 5GB of data they give us and this could be a VERY affordable option for alot of folks out there.Comment

 Re: Official Android Discussion Thread

Got the HTC Amaze 4g and i must say i am WOWED at the feel of the phone. I haven't felt a phone like this since playing with the IPhone. The weight feels right on and the size of it is AMAZING (no pun attended)

I did a couple speed test runs since this is one of T-mobile's phone that can theoretically hit 42Mbps. Averaged about 10 Mbps which wasn't too bad for where i live. Sense 3.0 is awesome, its my second HTC phone in a while. The last HTC phone I had was the MyTouch 3g which came out years ago.

It's real only competition on Tmobile is the Galaxy 2, i steered away from that because i had the original galaxy and wanted a different feeling phone. So far i'm very happy about the purchase .

Sadly thats the case SoMiss2000, the phone's battery life is sort of problematic. But going beyond that, it really is a nice phoneComment

yep, seems to be an ongoing theme with HTC phones. I've grown tired of my Evo. I shouldn't have to carry extra batteries. HTC is quickly falling out of favor with me."Never trust a big butt and a smile."-Ricky Bell

Had the chance to get the 3D but passed. My next Android phone, if I get another, has to be a Nexus phone. I don't want to fool with Sense, Touchwiz, or Motoblur anymore.
