Verizon may not launch the Samsung Galaxy Nexus until after Thanksgiving, as anticipation for the device continues to grow.
A leaked document containing Verizon’s advertising plans reveals the carrier does not plan to focus its campaign on the Nexus until after the Black Friday weekend. The schedule, leaked by website Droid-Life, shows Verizon will instead market the Motorola Droid Razr and HTC Rezound throughout most of November.
Verizon is the only confirmed carrier of the Galaxy Nexus in the U.S., but has stayed mum on a release date. Rumors circulated the device would launch on the network as soon as November 10, but the company’s advertising plan points to a release much later in the month.
The timeline laid out in Verizon’s ad campaign offers no solid date on the Nexus’ availability. The carrier may begin its promotions before the device goes up for sale, so the launch of the Nexus could come as late as December.
