My GF has the Galaxy S II. She loves it. It is fast and the screen is HUGE. I haven't really fooled with it, but she seems really happy and I must admit the phone is fast as hell on the tmobile network. We did a test and it was faster on their 4G than my phone was on out wireless network. I have the Droid X. Had the same phone since release day in July last year. But since it's on your list I would give the nod to the Galaxy S II.

Thanks, Damn I just saw that if you want to use your phone as a hiot spot you have to pay an extra $29, this sux, is there anyway around using your phone as a hotspot without paying for it?

I think you have to root the phone and use one of the rooted hotspot apps.

Well got the Photon this morning, paid $99 at best buy, sprint was offing it for $200, awesome phone, reason why I opted for it over the Galaxy II was I like the Nvida dual core Processor better.


I really love this Phone, Perfect size great screen, haven't played with it too much, but Unitl the next upgrade this phone will be just fine.

Well got the Photon this morning, paid $99 at best buy, sprint was offing it for $200, awesome phone, reason why I opted for it over the Galaxy II was I like the Nvida dual core Processor better.

Please, the way you spend money, it'll last you til the next good phone comes out lol

Listen I love he tech world. but I had sprint last year and I cancelled my account, I have been going with a virgin mobile phone, and I was paying 55 a month for that, now I'm paying an extra $30 a moth for basically unlimited everything plus 4g and a kicks arse Phone, I mean my phone is as powerful as any of the android tablets, it amazing. I would not have done it if it wasn't with sprint though, because What I see At&t and Verizon charge for there data plans is just robbery.

Sprint may not have the best overall service, but I will take there $10 unlimited data over anything any other company offers.

Thats good to hear. My family is switching to Sprint when our VZW contract runs out at the end of the year, and I was looking at the Photon. The phone looked sweet.

Soooo....about that Galaxy Nexus....12/8? I'm starting to get impatient. I've waited 2.5 years to upgrade my phone. The LG Dare I currently have is starting to act up (touch screen isn't always responsive).

I think Verizon is offering Double Data right now as well. So you purchase 2gb of data for the phone and get 4gb. I'll never go above 2gb let alone 4gb so that would be nice.

Well looks like I am going to be a fellow Android convert soon. I found a great deal online for the Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket this past week that was too hard to pass up. I guess I'll see soon how fast it is since I am in an LTE market. I've been reading good reviews on it so we shall see.

We're grandfathered in with the unlimited data for a bit, so this phone you should keep the unlimited, don't you think?

The 8th is what I hear, along with your post about possible pre-orders tomorrow.

I really think/hope the 8th is a date that'll actually happen.

I think my "ZOMG I hate waiting for a phone to release" anger/frustration has peaked and now I'll just be able to ride it out until the 8th...I guess I'm just resigned that it'll take forever for this phone to drop.

We're grandfathered in with the unlimited data for a bit, so this phone you should keep the unlimited, don't you think?

Never had a data plan on my phone before so I don't think I'm grandfathered into anything...unless I'm missing something?
