Nice find. Dell has been running good sales over the past few months. If you're looking for a LCD, Sony BRAVIA is definitely the way to go.

At times I know there over priced, but I'm a sucker for Sony. This will be replacing my 50" Sony RPTV.

I still have a Phillips 51" RPTV. It's 4 years old and still giving a great picture. Wouldn't get much if I sold it so it's still my main tv. The plasma will go in my bedroom.

Yes, but not until I get my new set this week, My friend is buying it from me. I was going to put it in the bedroom, but a 50" RPTV is too big for my room and I have a big bedroom, I have my 30" LG HDTV CRT set in my bedroom and I don't wanna part with that because it still produces still an awesome picture.

The only thing is I'm giving up 4" with my new set, I don't really care though, 46" is still big for my living room. I believe the new LCD is going to be much better then my RPTV.

I am surprised that you still bought another TV set, lol! The one you have now is a nice set, not sure why you would want to spend money on a new one. But its your moolah.

Well, one of the reasons being, my set now is good but the bulb is dying and the set is much darker, and I had 2 OB blocks replaced in this set thus far do too green blob. Don't wanna go through that again, it is working with no issues so far since the last block was replaced in the summer time, I would like to sell it off while it's still working and I'm all about don with RPTV at this point.

Like I told you in the past, I need an new set like I need a hole in my head, but I think this hole will make happier...LOL

I went to Sears ready to purchase the LG 50" Plasma but they had 3 LG Plasmas that were broken in-store on display so that seemed like an omen. I started looking at the Panasonic Plasmas which was $1099 but the warranty was outrageous ($400+ for 3 years)

I went to Best Buy and bought the same Panasonic 50" 1080P Plasma (link) - full warranty ($199 for 4 years) and came out a little over $1000...I'm pretty ecstatic.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.
