Yeah football. Don't trip about burn in. I been told by people that know a lot about this stuff, said that burn in on these newer sets don't happen. So I say enjoy your TV and if you still want to get another TV for your gaming system then go for it. Enjoy your TV though that is the important thing. You got a nice TV there.

Football, are you getting a little obsessed now? http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...771&highlight=
Dude, just sit back and enjoy the TV.......quit buying smaller TV's thinking that the bigger TV is going to get burn-in. Your only causing more stress on yourself.........return the Plasma if you are worried about the burn-in and get an LCD.
Please explain this one, LOL! All of a sudden you won a PS3?
alright guys, I'm a gamer. I own a PS3 and I game about a few hours a week and not everyday, I really need to know something. Can I game without worries on my New plasma after break in? I just got rid of my RPTV which I gamed on and it was great the last 3 years. I bought a Sony LCD and...
Scott and I are not trying to be jerks here, but just by these 3 threads alone you are driving yourself nuts over the plasma.
Thanks George, you have made my week, I haven't laughed so hard in days.Comment

Re: Plasma Owners?
LOL! I'm not trying to be a jerk to the guy, but he is going to give himself a huge heart attack over the plasma and burn-in. Me personally, if I was this worried (due to the slight chance burn-in) the thing would go back and I would grab an LCD. I'm no saint either, but this poor guy will end up in a hospital somewhere in Yonkers over a TV.Comment

What's the use of having a Posche if you're not going to take it out of the garage?Last edited by GAMEC0CK2002; 12-16-2009, 06:06 PM.Comment

Re: Plasma Owners?
Providing something doesn't come up, I should be ordering myself a lovely p42s1 tomorrow or Friday. Can't wait, I've been trying to read up on calibrations and such on AVS....my head is about to explode, some of those folks are crazy about their tv's.Comment

Re: Plasma Owners?
You know what I'm gonna do with my plasma when I get it home. Turn it on, hook my **** up, and play it. I think all this calibration and worrying some are doing with their tv's is too much.Favorite Teams:

Re: Plasma Owners?
That's what I did! If I ever get some $1500+ high end TV then I will go through all the break in steps and probably have it professionally calibrated. Just don't think with today's technology you are losing out on some whole other experience by not doing it.Comment

Re: Plasma Owners?
actually I decided to be impatient and ordered an open box S1 from amazon for $70 below my intended price. I have a 30 day return period so should things not be up to my expectations I'll send that mofo back.Comment
