I bought an iPhone so I didn't have to carry around a cell phone and ipod. Definitely won't be carrying this around. Would be nice to play around with as I love gadgets, but I don't see me using this over my MBP. Just waiting to hear something about 4.0

Wow, pretty disappointing so far on the iPad (really?) At work so I cant stream anything, but have they discussed any other products or services?

Yeah I wasn't overly excited when I heard about the rumor. Now that I know more I'm even less enthused. This thing is like the Macbook Air Part II.

And I literally LOL when I saw that giant iPod touch-looking thing in Job's hands.

Thats not the case with me. I own a macbook, iphone and itouch. This thing is just underwhelming when it comes to price and memory.

Oh come on, I love Apple as much as the next guy, but there isn't a whole lot to this iPad idea IMO.

They are showing off its eReader capabilities now. This could be its most useful application.

So we should stop reading the thread then? I stopped the blog stream when I saw Jobs holding the supersized iPod Touch in his hands.

I'm just refreshing OS like normal, and checking this thread to see if there's an iPhone announcement at this point.

I dont know about that. I genuinely like Apple and what they come up and some of their products have been innovative and awesome. This just is disappointing. Again, I dont know all the specs on this, but it sure seems like a lot of hype for something most of us have.

In our society, we've spent years trying to make TV's thinner, computers smaller and cell phones smaller, and now Apple took a cool idea (the iPhone/iTouch) and made it bigger. But what purpose does that serve? How do you carry it around. You can tote around a small bag with that, or buy an iTouch and put it in your pocket.

But if Im missing something, I'll gladly reconsider, just point it out to me. Im going off of what you guys say in this thread and the quick blurbs Ive read. What are other people/companies saying about it?
