Yeah I've just had mine a couple days but it doesn't leave my side at all either, makes me wish I would have gotten one sooner but kept trying to convince myself I didn't need a tablet.

Has anyone tried the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard posted earlier in the thread? If so any feedback on it?

Finally ordered the case it literally took 1 day.. It's a great case i like it a lot. Wish I would of bought it earlier..

Ended up getting that Logitech and it's pretty awesome. I like how it latches like the smart cover, and the groove it holds the iPad in works really well.

I'll update people as my fiancee uses it and gives me input. If she hates it or doesn't use it then I'll just use it at work for meetings and taking notes.

Not really impressed with the new iPad mini. Overpriced compared to what it's competing with (IMO).

Plus Apple just hosed everyone who bought the new iPad 3 with the update just 7 months later. Not even selling iPad 3's anymore.

Overall disappointing IMO from Apple, who usually excel at providing products that are 1) way better than the competition and 2) competitive price wise (since there's usually no competition).

I'm sure it'll sell boatloads, but nothing makes me want to shell out the cash for any of these right now.

Next thing you know they'll be selling Jumbo Ipod Touch and Mini Ipad as two different things but its the same damn size

Agreed. I was thinking about getting one prior to today, but once I saw the price it was a definite no-go for me. Might end up with an iPad 4 at some point, but $329 for the mini was disappointing.

Today was very reminiscent of the 4s announcement. Everyone ready for the iPhone 5 then the 4S was all we got.

There are lot of people waiting to give Apple money for a 250 dollar mini ipad, now many of those people are left equal parts disappointed and confused.

Feel kinda bad for iPad 3 purchasers.

The real negative with the iPad mini is you DO NOT get GPS unless you purchase a cellular model. So you are looking at a minimum of $459 for one of the most useful features.

Also, the underlying hardware is essentially a shrunken down iPad 2, but interestingly, this device will have Siri, and the iPad 2 wont.

I think the device should have been at a $249 entry level point to attract those people who are in the Nexus 7 market. Now they have just priced themselves into essentially their own middle market between affordable small tablets, and full sized tablets.

This is what is funny about people making comments like this - people who bought the 3 (myself included) have nothing to feel "bad" about. They've had a top of the line device for over half a year.

Do people feel bad for each other when they buy a TV and a newer model comes out later or it drops in price.

Complete nonsense and illogical.

Seriously. The upgrade to the Ipad 4 is just processor and camera I believe, not that big of a deal. It's just like when Apple refreshes everything else.

I don't really think it's nonsense. I think it's pretty reasonable for someone to feel bad. For example if you brought the original PS3 then a few weeks later the slim comes out, I'm sure theres going to be some disappointed that if you had waited you could of had the slim, same for the ipad 3.

PS3 is definitely different product market, unfortunately. It's the nature of the game with tablets and phones.

Yeah, I said I feel bad, not that Apple owes them anything (though I've read a lot of those arguments too - and there's been compensation in the past for some of their changes). It was a complete surprise that nobody was expecting, and the 7 month comment presumes that everyone bought them day one... pretty sure the Apple Store was still selling them to people earlier this week.

I've got a 32gb iPad 2, procrastination led me to never get around to selling it to get an iPad 3, and indecision over Surface and other options are why I'll probably continue to sit on it and my Touchpad and not send them off to Amazon for $400 or so in trade in credit.

If I was advocating we picket them or riot in Cupertino that's one thing, but simply feeling bad for people is nonsense and illogical?

Funny thing about the PS3 example, as that happened to me with the 360. I bought a used Elite from someone on a forum, and while it was shipping the Slim was announced.

it's the same type of deal though. If I brought an 4S and then 5 comes out I'd be pretty upset at myself as well.

Samsung is dropping a new Galaxy yearly..along with a Galaxy Nexus..etc.
