Yeah I am. I'm about halfway through the first book right now, and there is no way I can resist moving on to the sequels when I finish this one.Comment

I think that your emotion however is exactly what they want. It's infuriating that this is happening. The Starks are good people and die while the Lannisters are evil and just win, win, win.
They have the money, the looks, the charm, the power. It's frustrating. But that's what makes the Starks the tragic heroes in this tale."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Life ain't fair, neither is the series. This isn't a story where good guys never make mistakes or never get hurt. Trust me though, there is an ebb and flow. Things can turn for better or worse in an instant and some plots take some time to develop. Stick with it. It is an outstanding story.Comment

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO Sunday nights @ 9PM EST)
I still say the storytelling is uneven when it comes to all that the Starks are sufferering when compared to what the Lannisters are not, for example. When the Starks capture the Lannisters favored son, and he proceeds to tell Lady Stark that he attempted to kill her son by pushing him out of the window, then he goes on to make fun of Ned being beheaded. At this point she should have cut off his sword arm or killed him! that would have been consistent with everything else that has been going on. When she dropped the rock and walked away, the story dropped the ball.
Even before the Lannisters discovered that Jaime had been captured, Tywin and Cersei didn't want Ned executed, just removed as a threat. If Ned had been allowed to join the Night's Watch, all-out war with the the Stark forces of the North likely would've been averted. Joffrey was acting on his own when he had Ned killed.Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that. It's not so much the Starks' honour that's keeping Jaime alive. You've got to remember that as far as Catelyn knows, the Lannisters are holding both Sansa and Arya hostage. As much as she'd like to kill Jaime, doing so would result in the certain deaths of both her daughters. Jaime's a potential bargaining chip; that's why he's still breathing.

Your certainly right. If they killed Jaime then they have nothing and potentially get the 2 daughters killed. Right now, the power lies in how valuable Jamie is, and hes worthless dead.Comment

A bit old but Dicaprio still plays a 24 year old in every film he is in so I'm sure the creators will straighten it all out.
Margaery Tyrell rocks.Comment

A couple of those when I saw them while watching whatever episode they were in made me LOL. The one with the horse cracked me up because it was so over-the-top. When Drogo ripped out that guy's throat with the tongue still attached and then casually tossed it aside made me kind of laugh.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment
