Great episode, though the wait will be long and terrible. I don't want to start any new network TV shows, so my wife and I will cling to the ones we love coming back, and this one won't start again until Spring! Time to read the books again, I suppose, especially with 'A Dance with Dragons' out in July (and we NEED a separate thread for that without a doubt!).I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be. - Douglas Adams

Good episode tonight. I was a little disappointed at the lack of development in any of the plotlines expect for Jon's and Dany's, but very good regardless. (The king of the north scene was pretty awesome though.)
I'm moving through the first book right now, so I will definitely be reading the second one right after. I can't wait until the TV season rolls around.
Someone mentioned the length of the seasons and next season. I'm sure that HBO will order 12 episodes for next season, so we'll get a couple of more hours of content.Last edited by Steel5; 06-20-2011, 04:20 AM.Comment

SpoilerSomething to keep in mind too is that 'magic' is making a comeback in the world for reasons unkown. Previous Targaryens spent a lot of effort trying to bring dragons back but always failed. Dany succedes partly for this reason.

Tyrion is heading to King's Landing to become hand of the king, plus he's taking Shae with him defying his father.
Tywin has set the Mountain upon the Riverlands to burn and rape. Tywin is heading for Harrenhal to regroup.
Arya has set out for a long walk to the north with a bunch of criminals and one of Robert Baratheon's bastards.
Bran is having strange dreams and more or less all alone at Winterfell.
Rumors are spreading that Renly and Loras are gathering an army in the south.
Not really shown outright (highly disappointing) but The Hound is now a member of the King's Guard despite not being an actual knight. Joffrey loves his 'dog.'
Sansa is being abused indirectly by Joffrey.

Why people are suddenly spoiler tagging everything from an episode we've already seen is beyond me but i won't be doing it. Once it has aired it is fair game. My girlfriend finished the 1st book a few days ago, and wanted to tell me the ending so badly but didn't.
