6'3", pretty good for Brienne. She needs some more muscle in addition to being ugly'd up.

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO Sunday nights @ 9PM EST)
My friend introduced me to this show two weeks ago and since last night I am all caught up.
Absolutely love the show! Sucks big time we have to wait to spring 2012 for season 2. Here is to hoping there will be more than 10 episodes in season 2!
SpoilerAlso the king is a ruthless bastard. Scarecrow should have got him in the Batman Begins!Comment

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO Sunday nights @ 9PM EST)
Just finished reading A Game of Thrones. I really enjoyed how much more detail it has over the show and comparing the changes they made translating the book to the TV screen. I'd usually go, "I wish they put that on the show!" or "I think the change they made on the show was better."
Now I'm contemplating whether I should go ahead with A Clash of Kings or wait for season 2. Knowing me, I'd probably crack and buy the book BUT I'm hoping I can stave that off by reading something else in the meantime.Comment

I did start reading A Clash of Kings. I couldn't help myself. I'm a little shy of 200 pages into it. The further I move along with this whole story, the more and more I want Joffrey to die at some point soon.Last edited by SlimKibbles; 07-16-2011, 09:46 PM.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

I'm almost done with Clash of Kings as well.
At least with this one I can't cave in and start watching the show. I had originally started reading Game of Thrones because my friend kept telling me to watch the show. I usually like to read the books first if a show is based off of one, but about halfway through GoT I caved in and watched the entire season.

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO Sunday nights @ 9PM EST)
When I opened A Storm of Swords, I was happy to see this as I felt that some of the plot lines lagged a bit in the final act of Clash of Kings:Spoiler"I open with a look at some of the things that were happening on the Fist of the First Men, at Riverrun, Harrenhal, and on the Trident while the Battle of Blackwater was being fought at King's Landing, and during its aftermath" -GRRM
I wonder how they will handle that in the show...Comment

If how they handled things last season is any idication they're going to find some way around filming something like that sadly. Though its understandable.

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO Sunday nights @ 9PM EST)
I was more speaking about if they would include those events in the show in the second season to keep the events as chronological as possible, or if they would show them at the beginning of season three like they are in the third book.Comment
