I still wish they'd work in "A Clash of Kings" somewhere in the title. Still, I can't wait! At least the FFG boardgame is being re-released this fall which should help ease the wait.I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be. - Douglas Adams

Yeah its not a good marketing decision to bring that in though, especially considering that starting with season 3, it won't really be a book per season anymore.
It would be cool if they got the book titles in as episode titles.Comment

Anybody else following the character pages on Facebook? Some of the exchanges between the characters and the fans of the series are hilarious.

I was wrong. I had less than half that left. I didn't realize so many pages would be dedicated to other content like family history and excerpts.
So it was surprising to me when I realized the end of the book was actually the end. Then I reread it and found it fitting especially the last line or thought about not being dead.
I went back and reread the last paragraphs of every character's last chapter so I can refresh my mind on their whereabouts. I realized that
SpoilerCatherine still doesn't know Bran and Rickon are alive which I think would be interesting for Book Three.
If Ned was a shocking death, the number of notable characters that die in Book Two are staggering. Though, of course, no one matching Ned's importance.
I won't jump to Book three anytime soon. I have a few other books I want to tackle before I move forward.

I went full bore into book 3, Im in about 35% on my kindle.I was wrong. I had less than half that left. I didn't realize so many pages would be dedicated to other content like family history and excerpts.
So it was surprising to me when I realized the end of the book was actually the end. Then I reread it and found it fitting especially the last line or thought about not being dead.

SpoilerYeah I think I interpreted it wrong. I often find myself having aha moments with this series, like later on things make more sense. Ive never read anything with so many characters and stuff going on. When Reek told him to look into the bag, and saw Brans wolfhead, I guess that was the part your talking about, where he says they will see what they want you to see.Comment

I ended up reading the chapter when Reek returns with men several times because a lot was getting lost on me. Reek's entire performance confused me most especially because I found the paragraph in which he explains what he did to collect the men lengthy.
And yes, if I recall that is pretty much the moment I'm referring to. However, though Theon explains (to himself, I think) what he did to the Miller boys, it isn't explained (at least not in CoK) how or why he chose them.
When Reek shows Theon the wolfhead pin and Theon says he knows where the boys are, I think we are to assume he was wrong and acted out angrily.
The major point is he didn't want to return to Winterfell without something.
