Still loving this phone, guys. All my friends with iPhones are always wanting to play with it and check it out, while meanwhile I couldn't give a damn about theirs.

So now you're saying the battery life is better?
      What is it now?

        Re: HTC EVO 4G

I can go a couple of days (roughly 48 hours exactly) without having to charge it at all. And, I probably talk on my phone between 60-90 minutes a day, send and receive a combined 10-15 text messages a day and constantly check the time and weather throughout the day. I also probably Google something on my phone a couple of times a week as well. Seems to be a pretty fair battery life IMO.

          Wow really?
That is a LOT better than initially reported.
Granted I do a lot more on my phone, but that means I could go 1 day at least without charging.
          Thanks for the impressions!

Please tell me what the hell you're doing to get that amount of use out of one charge.

I have to decide on a new phone by the end of August. I'm leaning towards the blackberry tour. I would love to get the EVO but i've heard too many reports about poor battery life. Plus I don't like that I will be forced to pay for 4G service. part of why I've stayed with sprint for the last 7 years is that they offer a great value (low data plan prices with excellent coverage).

Mine just arrived from UPS! This thing is so beautiful. Can't wait to send a few hours customizing it and DL'ing apps tonight.

For me, I'm getting the same amount of time out of my battery.
What I do is turn off 4G/3G when I'm not using it and also turn off auto-sync because that keeps getting information if you have the internet on and runs down the battery. I also turn off the GPS function unless I'm using the navigation.

Honestly, that is really all I do and I haven't had any problems with the battery life. I also think that the last two OTA updates they have put out have helped with the battery life.

Honestly man, if you see or play with an Evo or any modern android phone, your Blackberry will seem like ancient technology and im not kidding

I cannot wait to get the test driod X at work. We met with Verizon on Friday and I work with blackberry's, tours, curves, bolds (which I have) even the old ones.

Im sure the Evo is worth the trouble in comparison.

Has anyone used the HTC HD2, Touch Pro 2, or the myTouch? I need a smartphone and basically wanted the pick of the litter among those three since my options are limited to T-Mobile at the moment. I was leaning towards the HD2 because it's slightly cheaper than the myTouch and has a faster processor... But the sliding quality to the myTouch is really appealing to me because I prefer typing with buttons as opposed to on a touchscreen...

I had the TP2 and it was garbage, I had to replace it 2 times before going for the Evo. I prefer the first TP.

I've had mine for about five hours and you took the words right out of my mouth. My old Blackberry feels like a rotary phone compared to the EVO and I've just barely scratched the surface with it.

If you stuck with T-mobile, the HD2 is the best phone they have out of that list.
