Am I the only one starting to get put off by all the previews for that William H Macy show? It seems like every damn show I have watched on Showtime for two months is flanked by that same promo.

Re: Dexter (Season 5)
WOOOOW. What.An.Episode.
That was ****ing crazy. I honestly can't wait another 7 days for that season finale. I need it now.
I seen the preview too (I had to, lol) and to me it looked like they're just trying to lead us on to what you mentioned, but that it won't actually happen. To me it looked like they pieced those 2 or 3 scenes together.Very short episode tonight (only like 43 minutes or so) but holy **** did they set up an incredible season finale.
And I wish I hadn't watched the previews, but since I did:
Spoiler
I know the producers are incredible at misleading people in their previews, but holy **** did that not appear to be Deb pointing a gun at Dexter?
A big holy **** if that's actually what is going to happen though.
Yeah, it looks like the blood on the shoe is going to point towards him. The only thing I'm wondering is how they get around the fact that the cops know Liddy was spying on someone.SpoilerYeah, they did a good job at that. I think she's pointing the gun at Jordan but it depends who he is with.
And yes, it felt/was a short episode because the first 30 minutes or so kind of were slow and was waiting for the pace to pick up and it sure did. I was wondering how Dexter would get out of the van situation and it's all pointing back to Quin.
Next Sunday is going to be one hell of a finish. Wow....Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: Dexter (Season 5)
Quinn is going doooooown. The bloody shoe and that forged invoice that had Quinns name on it for the cameras from the station is a lot to answer for. Cell phone records also can be added to that.
And I also wouldn't be surprised if that old case where the Asisan chick from a few seasons back was trying to get Deb to help IA put a case against Quinn comes back into play somehow because that was never really resolved properly.
Also the preview with Deb holding the gun and Dexter was a great job of creative editing.Comment

Great, great point. I completely forgot about that.Quinn is going doooooown. The bloody shoe and that forged invoice that had Quinns name on it for the cameras from the station is a lot to answer for. Cell phone records also can be added to that.

Still though, the previews showed Batista looking through the videos Liddy had (or at least I think that was the case), so they're still probably going to come up with something out of that I would guess.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Re: Dexter (Season 5)
I still don't see Debra being upset that the vigilante and her lover are doing what they are doing. She seems to aspire to have that in her life as well.
And with how everything is coming together, I wouldn't be surprised if the huge cliff hanger is Debra finding out that Dexter and Lumen were those two people.
Then again, I can see a next season of Dexter finding out that Quinn didn't want to be involved in Liddy's shenanigans and being the only one that could help Quinn get out of what's likely heading to a murder charge for Quinn in Season Six. For Dexter to do that, however, he'd have to give himself up.
I don't know. I just can't wait to see this finale."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Dexter (Season 5)
That's surprising, but what better time to renew and announce the continued great ratings?
SpoilerThe previews indicate Dexter crawling on the ground stabbing a man (has to be Chase) in the foot with the same knife-like utensil he dropped in the probable edited Debra gun scene. More than likely it was Chase who got the drop on Lumen and Dexter and later Dex got to the weapon and applied some podiatry techniques to Chase's foot.
Useless information, but the guy who plays Chase was married to Angela Jolie for a year and a half.Comment

Re: Dexter (Season 5)
As much as I hate Quinn, I really hope that Dexter doesn't kill him thinking that he was involved behind Robocop Liddy abducting him. I think that Dexter did say to Robocop Liddy that he did realize from his cell phone conversation with Quinn, that Quinn wanted no part of this......but now it raises huge suspicion as to why did Quinn pay Robocop to spy on him?Quinn is going doooooown. The bloody shoe and that forged invoice that had Quinns name on it for the cameras from the station is a lot to answer for. Cell phone records also can be added to that.

With the blood dripping on Quinn's shoe, I have a feeling that he will get blamed for RoboCop's death.
Plus in the books, wasn't she open to Dexter's extracurricular activities anyways? Maybe they follow that story. Not much has been shown about the babysitter, I wonder if there's anything more to that story.I still don't see Debra being upset that the vigilante and her lover are doing what they are doing. She seems to aspire to have that in her life as well.

Re: Dexter (Season 5)
Can we get details from the books put in spoilers? I've never gotten around to reading them, and I know the show doesn't go fully side by side with the books, but I'm sure there's still some things they pull from the books.
About next week, I don't see Quinn getting killed off the more I think about it, the same way I don't see Lumen dying. Both situations would be a repeat of what has happened to Dexter and Deb in the past.
When it comes to Lumen I don't know what the hell is going to happen. My theory is she gives herself up to the cops to protect Dexter, but I'm usually wrong with my theories lol. The thing is that Deb has already seen Lumen and figures her and Dex are more than what he tried to make Deb believe they were, so I'm sure that's going to play a big part in the finale.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Re: Dexter (Season 5)
My understanding is that the first Dex novel, Darkly Dreaming Dexter, was the blueprint for Season 1, but subsequent Dexter novels and TV series have ZERO in common.Comment

Re: Dexter (Season 5)
That is correct. And even the Ice Truck Killer storyline that was the blueprint for the first season was changed, drastically at some points.Comment

Re: Dexter (Season 5)
Oh, ok. Nevermind.
I just read the first part of what CZ said and even though I know they haven't followed the books from Season 2 and on, it sounded like it was something that would happen in the show because they definitely seem to be trying to play an angle like that up.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches.
