I think the season is going to come down to this "Will Dexter kill a fellow cop (Robocop LOL) in order to protect himself from being exposed?

Yeah, I watched him in Odyssey 5 and around that show they talked quite a bit about him being Robocop and his experiences filming (likely to try and drum up ratings, it didn't work). Then not too long after I saw him on the History Channel doing a show on Roman Engineering and learned he was a professor at Syracuse.

Hmmm...seems like a pretty accomplished guy.

I hope they don't "Robocop-out" and make it easy for Dex to kill him, like find out he's a murderer.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing Jaybee74. I hope they just make it a straight up ethical choice and not make it a "no-brainer" as in Dexter has more reason than just protecting his own identity to kill him. It seems like that's a cheap tv type move (giving the protagonist an easy way out that often doesn't happen in real life) that I hope we don't see in Dexter.

            Re: Dexter (Season 5)

I just caught the latest episode last night. I'm really liking the way thing's are shaping up. Assuming that they are almost done with the Fuentes brothers storyline. It does seem like LaGuerta and Angel may have some major conflict ahead due to how the night club shooting's panned out. I'm still holding out hope that one of them ends up killing the other one so Dexter has to kill the remaining one. That would be interesting, IMO.

As far as Lumen, her character is starting to grow on me a bit. I would prefer her to not become a love interest but, it really seems like we're heading in that direction.

Only other thing I was wondering is who the hell does Quinn wardrobe? I know the shirt that Deb told him not to wear was bad but, that damn blue sweater was one of the worst things I've seen on TV since the early 90s.

I really don't want them to kill off another main cast member.

Who will be left when Dexter eventually gets caught?

Great episode tonight. The whole show flowed and wasn't surprised that cop would screw over Debra and would love to see Batista get back at LaGuerta.

Also, the ending doesn't really do much with Robocop taking those pictures. He still has nothing on Dexter and needs more dirt to "take him down".

I don't know. I mean it doesn't give him that hard evidence he needs, but seeing him with Lumen, seeing her with all of the plastic and that stuff in her car and then seeing Dexter and Lumen dumping big garbage bags into the sea is pretty damn close. Not to mention he knows where they dropped those bags, but I doubt anything comes out of that because then that would be way too similar to the Bay Harbour Butcher stuff from S2.

But yeah, good episode tonight. **** is gonna get crazy the last few episodes. I think we should have one hell of a season finale on our hands with the way things have been built up so far.

Also it was pretty obvious that Jordan Chase was "watch guy" when you think about how he was going on about that watch he's had since he was a kid.

Looking forward to next week's episode. Last week I seen the preview so I knew a little of what was coming tonight. As much as I wanted to see a preview for the next episode, I held off so that I don't really know what to expect next week.

                        Tick tick tick...

I was kinda half-expecting Dexter to let Lumen hold her hands over his as he brought the knife down. But, some things are meant to remain personal, I guess.

I thought the same thing. Or that he would let her do the honors.

Quality episode though. Gonna be interesting to see how they handle Jordan Chase.

Dexter drops the bags where there is a heavy current. That guys body is making his way to the northern Atlantic right now.

I'm actually kind of scratching my head. I would think that current is pretty far out and even with a nice lens how was Lumen able to see so far in the pitch black?

Probably one of the best episodes of the season, IMO (sans the Asther stuff but, even that was ok, I guess).

It's nice to see the writers actually had a point with the Fuentes brother's storyline.

I actually thought the Aster stuff worked. It brings out a whole different side of Dexter and is a nice change.

The season is really, really picking up.
