Re: What are you listening to?

Spoiler
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Soundtrack: The best movie soundtrack ever do not @ me
The Revenant OST: Atmospheric and spacey throughout, suited the movie nicely. Listened to it while I studied for my last final so I tuned it out to a degree where I didn't pay attention to any specific songs.
TV Girl | The Wild, The Innocent, The TV Shuffle: Still a good release after all this time, even if it isn't up to par with their dedicated albums. TV Girl is so incredibly under appreciated. 7.5/10
Fav Songs: I Wonder Who She's Kissing Now; It Evaporates; Sweaters
Metric | Fantasies: Metric's most mainstream release, and the one I honestly gravitate towards the most. There's no such thing as a bad or throwaway track on this record. 9.7/10
Fav Songs: Help I'm Alive; Gimme Sympathy; Stadium Love
Bruce Springsteen | Born To Run: A justifiable classic, even if it is a little top heavy. 8.8/10
Fav Songs: Thunder Road; Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out; Born To Run
Toro y Moi | What For?: Thank You Based Chazwick 9/10
Fav Songs: What You Want; Empty Nesters; Spell It Out
Arctic Monkeys | AM: Why "die hard" Monkeys fans hate this record, I'll never know. Yeah it's a stark contrast from WPSIA,TWIN but they act like every album between AM and their debut hasn't been showing a gradual shift in sound from garage songs about taxis to more refined, sculpted (especially instrumentally) songs nearly exclusively about love. Oh, and this is only of my favorite albums instrumentally. Every song is so distinct because of it, from the slow guitar riff to Do I Wanna Know to the messy opening leading to the strong riffs on R U Mine? back to the secretive bassline of Arabella. I really think this album got a bad rap because the AM changed their sound up a bit and the fans hated it, despite it actually being outstanding. I think if this was a debut album for another band, the praise for it would be universal. 8.7/10
Fav Songs: R U Mine?; Arabella; No. 1 Party Anthem
Spin Doctors | Pocket Full Of Kryptonite: SPEAKING OF VASTLY UNDER APPRECIATED...Maybe they struggled to follow this up, but as far as debut albums go, this is as strong as you can reasonably ask for one. I'll let a lot of jokes fly, but I'll gladly defen for this album at any time. 9.4/10
Fav Songs: Jimmy Olsen's Blues; Little Miss Can't Be Wrong; Refrigerator Car
Taking Back Sunday | Tell All Your Friends: Remember when pop punk was actually good? I'm glad to be born in le right generation. But seriously, I never realized how great this album is top to bottom despite it being my first music purchase and the first band I ever got into "on my own". I'm gonna have to award it a perfect 10/10
Fav Songs: You Know How I Do; Ghost Man On Third, The Ballad Of Sal Villanueva
Taking Back Sunday | Where You Want To Be: Still has some #bangers, but it lacks the flesh that Tell All Your Friends had. 7.7/10
Fav Songs: A Decade Under The Influence, One-Eighty By Summer, Number Five With A Bullet
Daryl Hall & John Oates | Along The Red Ledge: My trek through Holland Oates' discography has finally hit the valley of their career. There's a few good tracks in this release, but for the most part it misses on some levels. 6.3/10
Fav Songs: Alley Katz; Don't Blame It On Love; Serious Music
Daryl Hall & John Oates | X-Static: Yeah, while there were some things to salvage from Red Ledge, there wasn't anything here. 3.7/10
Fav Songs: Wait For Me; Bebop Drop
Domo Genesis | Genesis: I just keep coming back to this record. It's nothing world beating or AOTY, but I like letting this one play while driving around. I love the production and quality of the instrumentals. Instrumentally, it's one of the better rap albums I think we're gonna get this year. 8/10
Fav Songs: Awkward Groove; Wanderer; Dapper
Chance The Rapper | Coloring Book: Meeeeeehhh. Give me a week and I'll get back to y'all on Chance Three
Passion Pit | Gossamer: 9.6/10
Purity Ring | Another Eternity: 10/10And may thy spirit live in us, Forever LSU
