Prince just killed it. I'd be up for another 8-minute performance. Episode as a whole has been great so far.
EDIT: Second half of the show was good too, I thought.
Overall, I'd say it's the 'edgiest' SNL in years (monologue with Boston Marathon bombing and Freedom Tower, ISIS on Shark Tank sketch) but that's definitely down to SNL playing it pretty safe nowadays.Last edited by SmashMan; 11-02-2014, 08:31 AM.Comment

Tonight sucked, but Cameron Diaz is one of those people SNL keeps bringing back that I don't think is ever funny so I wasn't expecting her to be good.
Cold open was good - surprisingly fresh political opening from SNL. Not the usual 'press conference' setting.
Musical performances were really good. Very lively, as you'd expect from Bruno Mars.Comment

Did you guys see the latest episode of SNL? They did parody of the "Stars Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" trailer. I saw it. I couldn't help laughing. They really did a good job of featuring Luke, Leia, and Han Solo.

I wouldn't hate it if Aidy Bryant got cut at the end of the season. I think she's funny in Girlfriends Talk Show; but everything else is just bad - especially the combo of last week's Tonkerbell (its' second appearance?!) and whatever that waterbed thing was at the end tonight. Geez.Comment
