Well here ya go, I don't know how any of you may feel but I think Zack Snyder is ruining Superman. So many folks hollered and cried about Returns and it's costume going away from the traditional Superman suit, or it didn't have enough action, they complained enough that the WB decided not to let Singer finish the vision he had in store and now we are getting this. Look how far away from tradition this is and whats with the metallic bracelets he's wearing? I just lost a bit of hope with this.

Not a huge Superman fan anyway, so I guess it looks okay to me. I'm interested in this film though, since it's a Snyder production with Nolan having a little something to do with the project.

Agreed. I think the new suit looks horrible. I don't want to be a whiny fan boy but I can't get my head around the lack of trunks. It just doesn't look right. The superman returns suit looked brilliant in comparison.

I guess they are syncing this costume with the rebooted Superman costume in the comics.

I don't think it looks bad but I definitely would like his belt to be gold or red just to give the suit some contrast.

Looking at those pictures, Cavill looks to be the biggest of all the Supermen on film and TV. Dude looks huge in the second picture.

It does draw a lot more attention to the S on the chest, though. Still, I'll wait until the film or trailer is out until I pass judgement on the suit. Batman's suits never really looked good in set pictures.

There is just so much blue!

It will be interesting to see whether or not they imitate the comics in regards to the suit being Kryptonian armor. I'm curious because that seems to suggest a substantial reduction in supes power level.
